What inspired you to pursue music?

I’ve been singing since I was four years. My dad always played country music in the car when I was growing up, and I would go around the house singing Dolly Parton, Gretchen Wilson and more; I always wanted to be a country singer! When I started working with Jamie O’Neal when I was 9, I knew I wanted to pursue music as a career.

How would you describe your musical style?

I would describe my musical style as country/pop.

What artists/bands are you influenced by?

Some of my musical influences today are Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini. Maren inspires me with her range and the tone in her voice. I love the way she also isn’t afraid to go out of her comfort zone and sing something outside the genre of country, such as her feature in Zedd’s new single, “The Middle.” Kelsea is also a current influence of mine, because she is such a great at performer and songwriter. Both of these females inspire me to become not only a better musician, but also a strong songwriter and performer.

What is it like getting mentored by legendary country artist, songwriter and producer, Jamie O’Neal?

It is amazing to be mentored by Jamie O’Neal, because she is such a talented singer/songwriter, and just a genuinely kind person. She has taught me so much of I what I know over the years, and I am so grateful to be able to work with her. Jamie also has INSANE songwriting skills, and I love learning from her because she has experienced so much in the industry.

You recently released your new single “Live Like A Song”. Can you tell us how this song came about and the meaning of the song?

I wanted to write a song that talked about what music means to me, and how it’s a universal language for everyone. Music is something that I know I can always turn to, and I hope to to remind listeners that they are never alone! I was inspired to share that message with everyone, because it’s very important to me.

How did the idea for this music video come about?

For the music video, we wanted to something unique. I wanted people to be able to think a little bit deeper and to interpret the overall message of the song in their own way.

What was it like debuting the video on Nickelodeon’s Fresh Faces?

It was SUPER COOL to debut my video on Nickelodeon’s Fresh Faces, because I always watch Nick and it was unbelievable to see my video on there!

Do you have a creative say in your music and videos?

I do, because I love thinking about storylines for videos, and what can make them stand out.

What do you hope to gain out of your music career?

Hopefully I can share my message that I want to share with the world and make a positive impact.

Are you planning on touring or doing any shows anytime soon?

I will definitely be doing some more shows around town in Chicago and when I’m in Nashville! I will also be playing in Kentucky in October at the HamJam festival, so I’m super excited!

What’s the feeling you get when performing in front of your fans?

I get so excited when I get to play in front of my fans – I’m just in my happy place!

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

I want my relationship with my fans to be open, honest, and close. I don’t think I could be where I am today without my fans having my back!

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

I am most active on Instagram, which is @queevamusic. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter!

Will there be an EP/album out soon?

We are hoping to release new music VERY soon! Stay tuned 🙂

What’s an average day for you look like?

My average day consists of going to school, doing homework, practicing my guitar and vocals, and updating my fans!
