VALE Releases Her New Song “Without You”
“I want people to be able to connect to this song in any way, whether it makes the listener think about their best friend, their brother or sister, mom or dad, cousins, girlfriend or boyfriend, a crush, literally anyone. It would feel so cool to see someone tell me like, ‘I love your song, it makes me think of my best friend’ and then see a different person say ‘it made me think of my crush’. I don’t know, I guess it’s cool that the song will be open for interpretation, I really like that.”
VALE is a fiercely talented vocalist and songwriter from Barranquilla, Colombia. Drawn to music at an early age, VALE began performing when she was just 6 years old in her school choir. By her early teens, she had found inspiration in American pop and R&B music, and began writing songs of her own. Influenced by some of her idols, VALE started to forge her own unique voice and point of view on the genre. Now at 17, VALE has spent time writing and recording in Los Angeles and Barranquilla, assembling her debut collection of singles to be released throughout the year. Produced by Heavy Mellow (Halsey, Jaden Smith), VALE’s first release, “be somebody,” is out May 29th. The commanding yet introspective track is an ode to self-confidence that finds VALE coming into her own as a pop artist.
