Hey Anna!! So excited to be chatting with you about your new single “Bittersweet Love”!! Can you tell us what this song means to you?

Hey!! Thank you for having me! This song means a lot to me and I’m extremely excited to have it out into the world. I wrote it as part of the soundtrack for the movie Evan Wood and it really matches beautifully with the storyline.

What’s been your reaction to the fans anticipation for your new single?

It’s been super amazing!! Even just from posting a tiny snippet of the song, the support and anticipation has been more than I could ask for. It’s really awesome to share that enthusiasm with those who follow and support me.

How excited are you to get this single out into the world?

Very very!! I’ve been working on this song for a while now and so to have it out where people can listen to it will be wonderful.

Where did your love of music come from?

I’ve always loved music. Music has been a way for me to express myself and let others know what’s on my mind. I grew up in a very musical family and they always supported me in my endeavors. My dad was actually a music manager back in his day and worked with The Black Crowes, R.E.M., et cetera. I guess you could say it’s in my blood. It’s really cool to see him re-visiting his love for music and music management.

Do you have any other release plans for 2020?

Yes! Besides this release, I have another song, “My Home” releasing alongside Evan Wood this fall. I will keep everybody updated with that.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I hope they feel what I am trying to convey through my music! At the end of the day, I can only be true to myself and do what I love and hope people appreciate it because of that.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I’ve always been very close knit with my supporters. Whether that means having conversations in DMs, or individually replying to comments and support, it’s something that is very important to me.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

As well as obviously being in front of the camera, I work a lot behind the scenes as well. I am the Creative Director of the management company Jackson Entertainment, and I work with clients and social media/branding.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

Come say hi and don’t be afraid to ask for a photo! One time these young girls were circling around me and I could hear them whisper “Is that Anna Jane Jackson?” So I just went up and said hi! Haha. I am just like you and I don’t bite!

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Infinity

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I want people to feel less alone, and comfortable being themselves.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

I would die to meet Taylor Swift, Kehlani or Kacey Musgraves! I also would love to meet and work with Joel Little. He produces and writes for a lot of the artists I look up to.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social media is a way to instantly reach so many people. I also think it’s a way to keep a personal relationship with those who support you.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest dream right now is to continue creating things that come from the soul. And to keep affecting people and making them feel and think.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you so much for the endless support, it means so much to me, and Bittersweet Love is out July 16, 2020 on streaming platforms and to purchase!!

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us 🙂
