So excited to be chatting with you. You’ve been busy with music recently. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to over the past few months?

I’ve been in the studio, releasing music, writing… The grind never stops! My last single ‘ Cherry on Top (Szabo Remix)’ was recently signed to a record label in Italy and peaked at #21 on the UK Commercial Pop Club chart! It’s been an exciting time.

Your new single “Good Guys” is catchy and relatable. Can you tell us the meaning behind the song?

Thank you! It’s about a guy I was into for a long time and we had a genuine connection but he wasn’t the best person… He had an ego and was used to girls hanging on his every word so I wanted to write this song to say “Just because you’re successful and ‘cool’ doesn’t mean you get a free pass to treat me this way!”

How did the idea for this song come about?
I was in the studio with Szabo (my producer and co-writer) and I was looking back through some old notes on my phone that were about the guy in the song – It just re-surfaced some feelings and I was like “I need to write this now!” I felt so much better afterwards. Writing a song really is therapy.

What’s the process of writing one of your songs?
It typically starts with me coming to the studio with lyrics or a concept in mind, figuring out a tempo and vibe and then collabing with the co-writer on the rest of the lyrics and melody.

Are you planning to release a music video for “Good Guys”? (If yes) Can you spill any details about the video?
I don’t have any plans to for this song only because I’ll be busy in the studio creating new music – I’m also figuring out some show dates!

Any fun moments while creating the song?
I remember Szabo and I had been working on the melody for a couple of hours and we were getting a little stir crazy, so he was like “okay lets go to lunch and If we come back and still like it when we play it back then we know we’ve got it” We came back and played it and looked at each other and we were like “yep that’s sick!” We were so excited about it haha

Do you have a creative say in your music and videos?

Yes! 100%. I never want to release any music or music video that I haven’t had a say in – I only want to put stuff out there that’s true to me. I feel like fans can really appreciate that.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

I have another couple of songs to release over the next few months and I’ll also be back in the studio working on more!

Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists today?
I think it’s important because its how you can connect with your fans. They feel like they’re a part of your life and can comment and see what you’re up to. It’s also great, especially as an artist, because you can get feedback and know what they want to see/hear more of!

Do you have any last things to tell your supporters?
I just want to say thanks for taking the time to follow me and listen to my music! It means so much and I can’t wait for the future.

Thanks for taking the time to do this interview!

Thanks for having me! xox
