You’ve been busy with music recently. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to over the past few months?
Recently, I’ve been working with Skyler on finding my sound and the lane I’m wanting to go. I’ve been in and out of the studio and I love every minute of it.
Where did your love of music come from?
I’ve been in love with music for as long as I can remember. My mom told me that when I was around the age of 2, I told her that I wanted to be a singer. And that dream has never changed. I grew up with music being all around me. From listening (stealing) my moms cassette tapes so I could listen to them, to my grandma signing to me all the time, music is really just in my blood.
What has been your reaction to all the success you have been having?
Hearing the word “success” is kinda crazy to me. I mean, I love what I do and the fact that I can do it for a living is just incredible to me. And everything that is happening is just a blessing and I’m so thankful for everyone around me and everyone who believes in me.
You have worked with some well known producers, song writers and actors. What have you gained from working with them?
Everyone I’ve worked with, music, acting and dancing wise, I’ve watched growing up. It’s so amazing. Since these people have been in the industry longer than I have, they definitely give some great advice. I’ve learned a lot from every single one of them.
What do you hope to gain out of your music career?
In all honesty, I just want to share my music with everyone. I want to be remembered. And if I can put out music that people will continue to listen to long after I’m gone, I will feel successful.
Do you have any shows coming up & if so, what have you been doing to prepare for these shows?
No shows coming up at the moment. I’m working on getting a few songs done before getting a show together.
What do you think is the benefit of having a following on social media in the music industry?
Nowadays, having a following on social media is very important when it comes to being in the industry. I feel like having a following is good when it comes to selling music and having an active fan base.
Does your fan base have a name?
I, myself haven’t named them yet! I don’t know if I would name them or let them name themselves. Right now I call them “Babes”, Lol.
How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?
I just want to be as real and honest with them as I can. They’re my internet family. And I love them.
What social media platform do you use the most to stay connected to your fans?
For me, its Instagram (@iamtyannah) or Snapchat (tyannahvasquez) and I am just starting to use a new platform called Howdoo!!
What is the craziest fan encounter you have had?
I wouldn’t say it was “crazy” in the sense of my fans being crazy, but it was crazy to me because it was my first encounter ever. I was at the Burbank Mall with my mom, and some girls came up to me saying that they loved me and my single that I had out. It was crazy because I didn’t think people recognized me at all. It was very surreal.
Will there be an ep/album out soon?
Yes! Can’t say just yet. Stay tuned… 🙂
What’s an average day for you look like?
Well, Monday-Friday, I am a Teacher’s Assistant and a Learning Coach at a local Elementary school. After work, it’s either i’m in the studio recording or writing, or I’m going to/filming auditions for acting. And I go take dance classes at different studios in LA whenever I can.
Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?
Just thank you. Thank you for your love and support. It truly means the world to me. I LOVE YOU!
