1). So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your new single, “I Wanna Go Out” – How excited are you that this song is finally out into the world?
We are as excited as Happy in his happy place, Couldn’t be more STOKED!! And btw that was a Happy Gilmore reference, LOL!
2). Can you tell us about how you came up with the concept for the “I Wanna Go Out” video?
We were basically all making jokes about us being stuck inside of Jason’s basement & trying to break out… But then we were like “What if the people in the house not letting us out were US!!!” That’s kinda how it all came together – a real cosmic event.
3). Where did your love of music come from?
My love for music really comes from taking my first breath. Ever since I was young music has been everything to me. Also going to live shows as a kid changed my life & really made my love for music explode!
4). What’s been the pros and cons of pursuing your music career?
Pros are the memories & relationships you build along the way. It takes a certain type of person to do what we do & really go for it. These are the best times of my life & we are only getting started! As far as Cons – cons don’t exist in Wavy Trees, we are loving every moment of the ride.
5). Is there anyone you want to Thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
The list would honestly be about two pages long. It takes an army to get where you’re going down this road of being a vagabond on the run, chasing the love of music and making a career of it. The whole team involved in making and promoting this record we are forever grateful for!
6). What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
We want everyone to take away one thing from our music & shows, that’s LOVE!! Our music is for everyone, we are just a channel relating messages from the other side through sound. We just wanna make ya smile & forget about the world for a little while, or try to change it for the better by listening to our music and spending time with us.
7). Are you planning any Instagram Live performances anytime soon?
We are definitely planning some live YouTube videos of the songs! Can’t wait to share that with y’all. But who knows – maybe we will be able to tour again soon and see y’all in the flesh!
8). What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
Jason can play the saxophone, haha!
9). Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
We wanna meet Iggy Pop and party with him & his bird
10). What’s your current “go-to” song?
Forever & always – it’s “Dancing Queen” by ABBA
11). What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
Biggest Dream/ Goal for all of us is definitely to be playing Reading and Leeds festivals in England and seeing all the flags flying in a sea of people. That’s when you know you’re doin’ it right!
12). Now that things are slowly opening back up, with you be playing any live shows soon?
As soon as shows open back up I can PROMISE YOU we will not stop touring till the wheels fall off. We will see y’all soon wherever you are reading this!
