Hey! So excited to be chatting with you!! What has been the greatest moment of 2021 for you so far?

Hi! I’m so excited to be chatting with you, too! I think so far, my greatest moment of 2021 is having just celebrated the one-year anniversary of my show called The Early Night Show (Virtual Edition). It’s on the Broadway Podcast Network and available wherever you can download podcasts and a webseries on YouTube. I started the virtual edition when the show I was in paused on March 16, 2020, and my goal was to showcase as many teen performers (and adults) as possible. I accompanied over 200 guests who sang over 250 songs.  I’m so thrilled I was able to provide so many with opportunities during such a challenging time. It also gave me a chance to premiere a lot of my original music throughout the 85 episodes.

How do you want your art to be remembered?

I want my art to be remembered as honest, creative, innovative, and insightful. I want people to listen to my music and feel connected and realize that they are not alone in whatever journey they are on.

How have you felt most appreciated as a creative and artist?

I have felt most appreciated as a creative and artist when people who saw the musical that I wrote and composed and listened to my music reached out and said that it really impacted their lives in a positive way.

Who have been your strongest allies in your career?

The strongest allies in my career have definitely been my parents and sister. They have all made sacrifices to help me be in the best environment for me to learn and grow as an artist and I’m forever grateful to them. They believe in me and support me, and that has given me the strength to face any adversity that I may have encountered in the business.

What do you see as the most important part of your journey?

I actually think one of the most important parts of my journey has been a result of being taller than most Broadway kids my age. In theater, there has always been a trend to cast really small older kids to play younger. I would sometimes get to the end of an audition and then be told that I was just too tall for the part. So, I decided that I needed to find my own path, and started creating opportunities for myself and others. I composed and recorded my first song when I was 10 years old and played all of the instruments on the track (except bass). I learned that I was able to use my piano skills to accompany others and started to music direct different cabarets in New York City’s top Broadway cabaret spots. I also documented my journey to find my perfect fit in the musical I composed and wrote (The Perfect Fit: www.perfectfitmusical.com), which really helped me to grow as a composer, lyricist, and bookwriter. That all translated into my growth as a songwriter, too. So, I think having to create my own opportunities and creating opportunities for others is the most important part of my journey.

Please tell us about your latest project and how we can get involved!
