Can you tell us a little bit about you?
I’m Sydney Cope, 17 years old originally from TX and now living in LA. I began dancing at the age of two, then singing and performing at the age of seven and later developed a love for acting around the age of twelve. Currently I have been songwriting and recording new music I’m excited to share! Acting and dancing are also a big part of what I continue mastering and stay busy with auditions.
What artists do you look up to right now?
Some of my favorite artists are Billie Eilish, Justin Timerblake, Ariana Grande and Khalid.
Your just released your new single ‘Watch Out for Me’! How excited are you that this project is finally out into the world?!?
This single was released first because I was super excited to kick off my new sound with a powerful melody and meaningful lyrics.
Can you tell us about what this song means to you?
“Watch Out for Me” was written so that I was able to express my feelings on a personal experience, and was a therapeutic way of coping with my emotions.
What has been your thought about the reaction of the new song?
From the feedback that I’ve heard it has been very positive and overall has been enjoyable to most listeners.
Any fun moments while creating the song?
One of my favorite moments from this song has been working on the music video! I was able to create an interesting storyline with my close friends and family, and I am beyond excited on the final product!
What does it feel like to perform your own music live in front of your supporters?
I love performing originals to others because I can show them a bit of who I am through my music!
How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?
Personally, I love meeting new people and building friendships and bonding relationships with anyone I can! Becoming close with supporters is very important to me, and I hope to continue developing more friendships throughout my career.
What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?
I actually haven’t had too many fan encounters, but I am constantly getting some very interesting DM’s. LOL
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?
Instagram is the top social media platform I use, but I still share everything on other platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
I actually have a new single that will be released July 19th called “It Was You” !! The sound in this song is a little different than “Watch Out for Me” so you should make sure and check it out.
