Your new single, “I Will Find A Way” has gotten an amazing reaction from your supporters. How did the idea for this song come about? & Can you tell us the meaning behind the name “I Will Find A Way”?

I had been through some really rough times when it comes to relationships I had ending. I had felt like I had been abandoned and betrayed and I felt like I couldn’t go on anymore. Then I ended up encountering hopeful messages and signs that things were ultimately going to be okay, it was then that I realized no matter what happens I will always find a way through, where there is a will there is a way!

What’s the process of writing one of your songs?

I usually begin by coming up with a chord progression or a beat, looping that with my looper pedal, and then playing guitar solos over it until I come up with a melody. Occasionally I will have a set of lyrics ringing in my head and try and match them up with a melody and work backwards but mostly it’s the jamming that begins the songwriting process.

How did the idea for this music video come about?

The director I worked with, Megan Cardwell, came up with the concept and treatment.

Any fun moments while creating the music video?

Yes. When we were filming the scene where I’m having a whole crew of people put my makeup on and my other self is yelling at me to “get up!”. During that scene they had to act like they were arguing so they would come up with ridiculous things to argue about and we all had to try not to laugh. The same went for the scene when the men in suits were in a meeting, they had to act like they were talking on the phone. The things they said while doing so were so hilarious it was really hard for me, and everyone, not to laugh.

Do you have a creative say in your music and videos?

Yes however I like to mostly stand back and let the folks who I hired do what they do. I have found that way produces the best product.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

Yes I have a new album coming out April 2019, I also have a live album coming out in late summer. Beyond that I have several collections of music completed and waiting for an official release date, don’t want to release everything at once!

What’s an average day like for you?

I usually wake up around 11am or so (I’m a night owl), I get work done whether it’s art or industry related, sometimes that spills into the night. I usually then relax for the rest of the night. This is when I’m not touring, when I am touring every single day is a different routine and different adventure.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

Mostly Instagram, Facebook, and e-mail newsletter.

Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists?

Because it gives the power back to the artist to reach their audience. Before we had to depend on labels and executives to get us fans, now we can do that on our own.

Do you have any last things to tell your supporters?

Thank you for your support, it really means the world and be sure to keep an eye on my tour dates, follow me online, and keep up with my releases!
