Sophie Doyle Ryder Chats With TMI About Her New Single “Too Much”

Hey Sophie! So excited to be chatting with you again! Can you tell us what you’ve been up to since last we spoke?

Well, Quarantine has been weird of course. I’ve mostly spent my time writing music. I feel like I’ve definitely progressed as a songwriter these last few months. 

You just released your new single “Too Much”! What’s been your reaction to the fan’s love for your new single?

I’ve gotten a crazy amount of love on Too Much! I’m so so grateful️ It’s really given me a push to work harder, I always tell myself that there’s always something extra I can do! But the love has really meant the world to me and i’m so glad so many people love it and can relate to it in their own special way xx

Can you tell us what this song means to you?

This song was written about one of those “relationships” you have in your young teen years that in the moment mean everything to you but when you get older you realize, lol they actually don’t matter. But I made sure that I wrote it as if i was still in the relationship and wanted to make it super emotional! 

Can you tell us what the song is about & how the concept came about?

The song is about giving somebody so much, and getting little to nothing back from them. It’s such a defeated feeling. The concept for the song came from the “relationship”! If he’s reading this, thank u for the song lol 

How excited were you to get this single out into the world?

It’s the type of excitement when you’re lying in your bed and you can’t sleep because you can still feel all the adrenaline in your tummy. I had that feeling for like 3 weeks before it came out. This song means the world to me. 

Do you have any other release plans for 2020? Maybe an album?

Definitely another single coming your way. I’m not sure about an album yet though, I love releasing singles at the moment. 

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I think they’re gonna love it! I make sure everything’s perfect for them every time! 

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you spill any details about the video?

I was really hoping there could be a video but unfortunately because of Covid I just felt it was too risky and too much to ask of people! Everybody needs to stay safe and follow the rules first, but afterwards maybe!

Do you have any other projects in the works you could tell us about?

The only projects I’ll be working on for about a month now I’d say will be school ones:( I’m back to school very soon so I’ll have to be on the ball again. Dreading it.
