Can you tell us a little something about each of you?

Kelly: We were born and raised in New York, so we love the city. I’ve always loved music and spend a lot of my day singing or writing lyrics. I also enjoy drawing, I actually designed our single cover. Health and fitness are a huge part of my life, too.

Kat: I’ve had a passion for writing and singing since I was really little. I play guitar and piano and most of my free time is spent rehearsing or writing.

What inspired you guys to pursue music?

We fell in love with music at age five and three when we started doing musical theatre. Since then it has been our dream to perform and be able to connect with people through our music.

What is it like being in a duo with your sibling?

It’s really awesome, most of the time. We’re lucky that we are very close and we do work well together. However, we are sisters so we do disagree on things sometimes, but when it comes to writing or anything musical we are usually on the same page.

How would you describe your musical style as a duo?

Our style is a combination of pop, rock, and jazz with interwoven harmonies.

What artists do you guys look up to right now?

Kelly: Right now I’m really loving John Mayer and Billie Eilish. My all time favorite artists are Whitney Houston and Stevie Nicks, I love their music and love singing their songs.

Kat: My favorite artists have always been Avril Lavigne, Demi Lovato, and Jessie J. Recently, I have been obsessing over Kehlani and her style.

You guys just released your debut single , One Day!! How excited were you guys to get this song out into the world?

We’re unbelievably excited. The whole experience has been so surreal, we still cannot believe the music is out. It’s been a dream of ours for as long as we can remember.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

We hope they love it and connect with it! We always try to create songs that we feel like we needed to hear at different points in our lives, and hope that the messages in our music resonates with our listeners.

Can you tell us how this song came about and the meaning of the song?

Kat: This song was written as I was coming out of a rough breakup. I saw how great they were doing without me and it hurt. Something that got me through it was knowing that they would regret losing me one day in the future. It’s about realizing how great you are and that you can be over someone and still wonder if they miss you. Once I had the idea I showed Kelly and she helped with the lyrics. This song was also co-written and produced by Adrian Young of No Doubt and Quinn Lamont Luke, who helped bring our vision to life.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

We have four more singles that are set for release this summer. We’re also constantly writing new songs, so you can definitely expect more projects from us in the future!

Why do you think social media is so important for singers today?

The whole point of music is to connect with people and social media helps artists connect with their fans. We have met so many amazing people through social media and it’s given us an opportunity to share our music with people around the world.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

Definitely Instagram! We are on Twitter and Facebook, but we use Instagram daily to stay connected with our fans.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

We love interacting with our fans.

What’s an average day like for you guys?

We’re both in school, studying music, so part of the day we’re in class and hanging out with friends. However, most of our day is spent rehearsing, writing new songs or recording at the studio. On the weekends we’re usually performing.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you for all the love and support over the years! We are so grateful for everyone who follows us, comments and takes the time to listen to our music.

Thanks for taking the time to do this interview 🙂

Thank you so much!
