You only recently started social media and have already gained a huge following, How did you get started with social media?
Around 3 years ago, a good friend of mine showed me how to setup Instagram when we were working on set. I’ve been pretty active on it ever since.
How would you describe your musical style as an artist?
My first love is 80s and classic rock. I also enjoy a lot of the current pop songs as well.
What artists do you look up to right now?
Again, I like a lot of the classic rock singers like Freddy Mercury and Robert Plant. My very favorite singer is Steve Perry of Journey.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?
I use Instagram mostly but also post on YouTube.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years in your career and personal life?
I do plan on going to college. I would love to also be acting and singing well into adulthood. I can’t imagine doing anything else.
You have also made a name for yourself in the acting world. How did your passion for acting start?
When I was 8 years old, I participated in a theatre production of Annie Jr. I was hooked after that.
What actor/actress are you influenced by?
I’m a huge fan of Jim Carrey. I really like the way he was able to play comedic and dramatic characters equally well.
You are well known for your recurring guest star role on the Dreamworks television series “OMG!” & lead role as Lilly Franks in the award winning film “Make A Wish, Mom”. Can you explain the process of how you got these roles?
For OMG!, it was through auditions at the Dreamworks studio. Make A Wish, Mom was actually a short film that I co-wrote with a friend of mine .
Can you explain the characters you portray?
In OMG!, I played several different characters, including a star struck middle schooler and a straight “A” student. In Make a Wish, Mom I played a daughter who is struggling to cope with the loss of her mother.
Whats your favorite part about being on “OMG” & “Make A Wish, Mom”?
Just being on set and being able to do something creative is a big rush for me.
Whats your favorite part about being on set?
Just hanging out with the other actors/actresses and being part of a script that I find very interesting.
Did you want to be an actor and singer when you were little, or did that develop later on?
It really developed later on, as I started doing school plays.
Have you ever been starstruck by anyone you’ve met so far?
Jim Carrey and Sabrina Carpenter were the two that come to mind immediately.
Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’m in the beginning stages of going into the studio to record a few cover songs for an EP I hope to release in the near future. I also plan on filming video(s) for some of the tracks as well. One more project I am working on is writing another short film with my friend. We hope to begin filming it this summer.
What are your friends and parents thoughts on your career in singing and acting?
I’m lucky in that I could not have asked for a better support system. My parents and friends have been so super supportive.
Overall, how has this whole acting and singing career experience been for you?
It’s been really fun for me. It’s hard work and there are a lot of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Do you have any advice for anyone trying to make it as a singer or actor?
Work hard and don’t be afraid to take chances. Success in this industry is not easy.
Do you have any other talents other than singing and acting?
I play some piano and I am currently taking guitar lessons.
What 5 words would you use to describe yourself?
Professional, perfectionist, kind-hearted, loyal, happy.
