What inspired you to pursue music?

I’ve been obsessed with music for as long as I can remember and when I grew up a little, I realized music is the most beautiful form of art. It’s so powerful and gives you the opportunity to pour your entire heart and soul into the songs.

There were certainly a few artists that inspired me to take it seriously: Justin Bieber,  BTS, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce are my idols and people I look up to forever.

How would you describe your musical style?

Honestly it’s a mix of everything but mostly R&B and pop. I make and record music when I get inspired by something and that definitely affects the way the songs turns out.

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Passionate, ambitious, crazy, weird, funny

What artists do you look up to right now?

BTS and Justin  Bieber! They both started from nothing and have the most beautiful souls ever. And of course their music is crazy good.

With over 8 million views on YouTube & almost 50k followers on Instagram, you have built a powerful fan base for yourself. Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists today?

Honestly, social media is a way of sharing your life with others and keeping in touch with your followers. It’s crucial because that’s how you keep them updated on the new music that’s coming out soon.

With a massive following already your supporters must have a name for themselves. Does your fan base have a name?

Fans are the ones that create the fan base name, and in my case I think I have a few: Beylians, Sabeylians, Sunshines. Sooner or later there will be only one.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

My supporters are my world so I just want them to do whatever the hell they want with their lives with no regrets. I want to inspire them and experience life along with them. They’re my best friends and my family. We’re in this together.

What’s the feeling you get when meeting your supporters?

Thankful. So thankful to have people that support me and my dreams. I feel so much gratitude and love, it’s impossible to explain.

What type of music are you leaning towards for your music career?

Music doesn’t have rules or boundaries. I wanna do something new and exotic. I don’t think there’s a specific “type” that could explain the music I want to create in the future. Just want to have fun and pour everything in it. The more experience I get, the more inspirations I’ll have to talk about something real and personal.

You’re gearing up for the release of your new single “Close”! What does this song mean to you?

This song means EVERYTHING to me. I’m so young and this song just talks about how I may seem indecisive and unsure of certain things, but that’s only because I’m human and am scared to risk it sometimes. It’s like i’m young and afraid but also confident and not afraid at all.

It’s very personal to me, and the lyrics are pretty straightforward so once you listen to the song you’ll understand.

What do you hope the supporters will think of the new song?

I just hope they like it as much as I liked making it. It’s a chill song and I’m sure many teenagers can relate  to it…

Speaking of teenagers, many people don’t take us seriously because they think we’re too young and immature, but we do have a voice and we should be able to properly use it.  Hopefully my EP will help other teenagers to use their voice and not give up.

Will there be a music video for “Close”?

I’m not 100% sure at the moment but there will definitely  be a music video for another track. I have so many interesting ideas to put out there.

Any other fun things in the works you can tell us about?

At the moment I’m mostly doing homework which totally sucks but I have my fun too so that I have things to talk about in my songs lol.

Filming music videos is also so much fun. Definitely exhausting too but the fun outweighs the exhaustion for sure. I’m just waiting to release my EP and go on tour and make unforgettable memories with my fans! That is what I call fun.

What’s an average day for you look like right now?

Doing school work, updating my social media, lots of cooking, hours of teachers, singing non stop and hanging out with my friends. I’m moving to LA soon, and when I’m there I’ll be living in the studio and making music 24/7. Can’t wait.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Yes! I will be making more and more music that won’t disappoint any of you. Make sure to follow my social media – Instagram @Sabina.Beyli, Facebook @beyli.sabina to keep up with the updates!  A lot of big things are coming and I promise I won’t disappoint.
