Chelsea: I am very excited about “I Like It” being released! In the past, Myla and I have only been singing covers from great artist, but now Hello Sunday has the opportunity to put out original music.

Can you tell us the backstory of this single? Is it from real experience?

Myla: “I Like It”, was written by our creative director, Brandin Jay, and it is most definitely from real experiences. “I Like It”, is really about loving yourself and celebrating who you are. I think it is an inspiration to everyone, to encourage them to love themselves and not worry about what everyone else thinks.

Chelsea: The backstory of “I like it” is about being confident and loving yourself. This is from real life experiences. When Myla and I decided to step into music, people criticized our image, our skin, hair and body. At this point, we don’t pay attention to that, because we love ourselves.

What led you to decide to try out for The Voice?

Myla: Our manager, Natarsha Garcia came to us with the opportunity to audition, and we were ecstatic! We just went for it! We are still in shock at what we were able to achieve on The Voice and all of the amazing experiences we’ve had! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we are so grateful for it!

Chelsea: Our management team. encouraged us to try out for the Voice. We didn’t even know the Voice allowed duos or participants our age…13 and 14. This opportunity was honestly a pop up, while we were doing another project.

What was that whole experience like for you guys?

Myla: The experience was all we could have ever imagined and more! We had an opportunity to meet work with some living legends, and that in itself was unbelievable! Not to mention, all of the amazing and talented contestants, we met and became friends with. I mean the experience, was like we were in a whole other world, from recording in the studio to having a glam squad, to getting great coaching advice from Kelly Clarkson. I still look back and can’t believe that really happened to us!

Chelsea: The experience was great! It was definitely a surreal moment for, us when we first stepped on the big stage. The staff, the cast members, and the coaches were extremely nice and great to be around. We were all like a big happy family.

What’s life been like after being on The Voice?

Myla: Life after The Voice has been awesome and busy! Lol! We’ve been working non stop on getting new music ready, music videos, rehearsals, school, and everything else that goes along with being a teenage girl!

Chelsea: So far, so good! We are making music and booking shows. Booked, busy and blessed! LOL

What do you want your fans to take away from your music and live shows?

Myla: I honestly would love for our fans to be inspired by our music! I want our fans to love the music, but also get a message from it. The message being, that “ You are enough”, and to love yourself.

Chelsea: I want ours fans to know that our music is positive, but crunk with a teenage flare and our live shows are going to be lit!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Myla: I think Social Media is extremely important for all artist, because in this age of technology, that is the platform that is used to put yourself out there. Everyone uses some form of social media, and that is how you build your fan base and stay connected with your fans!
