Hey Queen Harper! So excited to be chatting with you, what inspired you to pursue hairstyling?
Honestly, my mom, i wanted to be a doctor and my mom would see me doing hair and got me a scholarship to a local hair school and it just clicked from there
What led you to try movie hairstyling?
I wanted to try something different from the day to day, I wanted to challenge myself
Do you have any rituals before going on a set?
I just talk to God before i go on set, i tell him how grateful i am for all the opportunities in life and i ask him to calm my nerves
Are there any projects in the works you can tell us about?
I wish i could! But just know something big is coming!
What goals have you set out for yourself in your career?
One of my goals is to expand internationally. To expand my brand worldwide so i can touch women all over the world
Overall, how has this whole movie hairstyling career experience been for you so far?
It has been more than i could have hoped for to be honest, it has challenged me in so many ways and i love it.
What’s your favorite part about being a hairstylist?
My favorite part about being a hairstylist is that i get to change peoples lives, i get to make them feel amazing about themselves, that is priceless to me
Do you have any advice for anyone trying to make it as a hairstylist or makeup artist?
I would tell them to find their niche and perfect it, and that is where they will thrive. Being am expert in their field. Whether it be fantasy make up, wig making or blow out, master your craft
Do you have any other talents other than hairstyling?
Lol not that i know of. I just have the one talent, turning frowns upside down 🙂
What would you say is your favorite thing to do?
My favorite thing to do is to travel! I love to see other people cultures and tasting their food and being introduced to new scenery
Do you have any other passions other than hairstyling?
My passion is giving back, specifically to young women 17–22. They are the next generation and we need to nurture them and make sure they know they have a safe space to be themselves,
Do you have any last things you want to tell your fans?
Well I don’t think i have fans i consider them my besties, but to my besties, thank you for all the support without you I would honestly not have nearly the amount of opportunities i have without you
