Hey Morgan, so excited to be chatting with you! What would you say brought on your passion for acting?
Hello, I’m very excited as well! For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for acting. I can remember being just a small child and performing the Barney songs and dances with the TV in my parents living room growing up. As I got older over the years, that spark never faded. It only grew. It was just something that was always there.
What is one movie that has greatly influenced your life?
One movie that has influenced my life is the musical Rent by Johnathon Larson, even though it is originally a Broadway Musical, I just love the message behind everything. Rent has really taught me to live my life to the fullest and live absolutely “No day but today”
What has been your favorite acting role to date?
My favorite acting role so far was a supporting role that actually fell through at the last minute. It was for a Netflix series that was supposed to star many different celebrities including the late Florence Henderson.
What would be your dream acting role?
My dream role would be to star in an upcoming Disney Movie or major blockbuster. I would love to have a role that demanded a lot of me as I do love a good challenge.
Is there anyone you are dying to work/collaborate with in your acting career?
There are quite a few people I am just itching to work with. I have always wanted to work with Leonardo DiCaprio as he is one of my favorites. I would also love to work with Rosario Dawson, Kristen Bell, and Mila Kunis. I absolutely love these amazingly talented women.
Do you have any projects in the works you can tell us about?
I do not have anything film related coming up just yet. However, I am about to have a few creative photoshoots that I am very excited about!
If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions — what would it say and why? (If helpful, it can be someone else’s quote: Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?)
If I had a gigantic billboard of myself I would want it to say “Only Human” as we are all human and at the end of the day we are all perfect in our ways. I firmly believe we should all love each other and support one another despite all of our differences.
What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
I absolutely love ASMR videos. They help me relax and to me they are very soothing.
What is your current go-to song?
My current go-to song would be anything by Halestorm. They are and have been my favorite band for a long time.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career in acting or singing? What advice should they ignore?
I would tell them to go for it and to never take no for an answer. They should always ignore the naysayers as there is always hope.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?
I take a moment for myself and reflect. I count all of blessings in life as its important for me to always remember what I am blessed and thankful for.
What social media platform do you use most? Where can people find out what projects you have going on?
I mainly post on my Instagram @morganduffey & @morgan.duffey.portfolio I do post to my facebook page, morgan duffey, as well. However, Instagram does have more content.
Any last things you’d like to tell your supporters?
I just want to say thank you a millions times to my supporters as if it wasn’t for them I would not be where I am today without them. I am truly blessed and I would not trade anything. Thank you so much!
