Hey Mathieu, so excited to be chatting with you! What would you say brought on your passion for acting?
In 4th grade I was in a school play and got a main part playing someone who was completely different from me and I loved it and people were complementing me for many months later.
What is one movie that has greatly influenced your life?
Airplane. It combines comedy and my love of flying
What has been your favorite acting role to date?
Eli Rosen in the short film “Still Harlem” by Lynn Dow.
What would be your dream acting role?
They would actually be on stage in either Dear Evan Hanson as Evan or Jared or To Kill A Mockingbird as Dill Harris.
Is there anyone you are dying to work/collaborate with in your acting career?
Liam Neeson. When I was in 5th grade, he was kind enough to meet with me and talk to me about acting.
Do you have any projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’m waiting on a short film to come out that I filmed last year and otherwise just a bunch of auditions at the moment.
If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions — what would it say and why? (If helpful, it can be someone else’s quote: Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?)
Well, I actually recently had a giant billboard of me in a promo for the TV show Wife Swap (I just did the promo) in the middle of Times Square and while I didn’t see it, apparently it was on a giant billboard in LA too.
That’s so cool!! What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
Flying airplanes.
What is your current go-to song?
I don’t really have a current go to song. I like a lot of different types of songs and depending on my mood will determine what I listen to.
What do you like to do during your free time?
Play Minecraft and fly planes
What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career in acting? What advice should they ignore?
Have fun and go crazy. Don’t let people crush your dreams.
When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?
I play the piano
What social media platform do you use most? Where can people find out what projects you have going on?
I use instagram the most @theofficialmathieu and that is where people can see what I have going on. I also recently got a Twitter account @theofficialmat4
