What inspires you to work in this industry?
Well, I suppose the obvious answer is I love to make music. But more than that, I really love collaborating with other artists! The more people I meet, the more I’m blown away with how much talent is out there!
What makes you feel the most alive?
This feels like such a cliche but performing live on stage really gives me a buzz that nothing else can. Besides the fact that I love it, I’m also kind of afraid of it! There are so many nerves involved in performing for me. But when I’m finally on stage and I’m doing my thing, those endorphins are going like mad!
What is one thing you’ve had to learn the hard way?
Probably, that no matter how many people you have in your corner, nothing is going to happen unless you put in the work and the miles. I think I was so insecure about myself for so long I was looking for that magical Hollywood moment where someone would see me or hear my music and just take me on as an artist. And yeah, to some extent that happens. But the more I do this the more I realize that all those artists who appear to have blown up overnight, have been working fucking hard for years!
How often do you write songs?
I was going pretty slowly for a bit. But since the new year started I’ve been trying to work on new songs every day.
What is being heavily played on your music playlists right now?
I’m really obsessed with “Driver’s License” by Olivia Rodrigo. I just think it’s such brilliant songwriting!
What is your favorite kind of cereal?
I don’t actually eat a lot of cereal, but when I do I want ALL THE SUGAR! I love me some Fruit Loops!
What milestone are you working towards in your career this year?
I’m trying to build a big community through my music and my brand! I want to create a space where people can come and celebrate the parts of themselves that they’d otherwise be insecure about. I want to curate a space of expression, non-judgment, and collaboration.
