Hey AZRA!! So excited to be chatting with you. Where did your love of music come from?

I loved music since I can remember. Music, singing, dancing and performing have always just been part of my life since I was born. My mom sang in church choirs, she always sang and had music in the background growing up.

Can you tell us what your newest release “Hell & Back” means to you?

“Hell & Back” to me is a song celebrating and accepting all of the past, present, and future ups and downs and despite everything, still continuing to move forward as a fearless individual ready to achieve greatness. I’ve been through many roller coasters throughout my life which helped me become the person that I am today. It wasn’t just the positive aspects that made me, it was also the lessons I’ve gained through overcoming challenges. This song is a healing song to empower and remind myself that “the greater the fall, higher the bounce back,” and to continue to strut forward and be proud!

What’s been your reaction to your fans’ love for “Hell & Back”?

Grateful. I’ve been truly inspired by my supporters’ love and connection for “Hell & Back.” They have been so outspoken and brave about sharing their experiences dealing with the ups and downs of 2020 and in their lives as a whole. I am just so grateful that my music is contributing to their light, joy, and hope during this time.

How excited were you to get ‘Hell & Back” out into the world?

Passionately, especially now.

How did the concept for the lyric video come about?

I came up with the concept for the lyric video while I was cutting out words and pictures from magazines to update my vision board. I felt a lot of joy, empowerment and hope doing this during this pandemic, so I wanted to bring that same feeling and similar experience to my audience in the “Hell & Back” lyric video.

Do you have any other release plans for summer 2020?

Yes. I definitely hope to release another single and then something bigger later this year!

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

Connected, Genuine, Empowering and Supportive

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I like wearing oversized guys clothes and styling them to fit me

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

That I care for them and that I appreciate every.single.one of them.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

Here’s a quote and mantra I created and live by that I hope everyone can take away from my music and shows: “Follow your passion, Create your own show, The world is your stage, for anything you can imagine is possible.”

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Dream

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Too many to call out!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social media helps us connect with our audience and share our music and message with the world.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

World Stadium Tour

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I want to tell them: No matter who you are, where you are from, what your background may be, you are meant to shine and be heard. Always remember that anything is possible, and your dreams can come true if you believe in yourself and try. What you may realize is that trying was the best decision that you ever made.

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us 🙂
