Can you tell us the backstory of this song?
So, I got cast in the Netflix TV Show, “Lucifer,” and for many episodes was a club dancer at LUX.
After working on set, I decided to watch the series and fell in love with Tom Ellis’s portrayal of Lucifer. I never knew Hell could be so hot until I met Tom Ellis! LOL ! !
After watching the show, it gave me a different perspective as to how we approach the choices that we make in our lives.
This song is about being confident and always knowing you have control in your life. It’s about living fully and experiencing life with every emotion and adventure possible.
“Dancing With the Devil” is more like “dance with opportunities, chances, and dance with your passion.” Because you’re free to do whatever you want!
Lucifer truly lives life to the fullest and with the utmost pleasure. He is always honest and does everything with integrity. I was really inspired by that theme.
If you desire something so badly, journey through the roaring storm, the blistering fire, the muddy rain to achieve it. Because you have the power to make your wishes come true. No one is going to do it for you. You are the master of your own destiny.
You also have more projects coming out in 2021!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you next year?!?
Definitely more music, more creative cosplays and music videos .
Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?
Yes! I’m an independent artist. I write ALL of my songs.
I write lyrics and melodies with my guitar first. Then, I start producing beats and arranging the instruments.
For “Dancing with the Devil,” I had co-writers and co-producers, Brite Ma, AJ Arroyo, and Darrel Sean Peart help me create a dark pop and cinematic master piece.
What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?
It feels Great! Releasing my original songs feels like a page ripped out of my diary/journal and shared with the world. But in a good way! A very very scary thing to do because all of my songs are my babies! But, sharing my creativity with the world is a fulfillment.
Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video
Yes, I’m EXTRA so you will know there will be lots of smoke, red lights, extravagant costumes and headpieces, lots sensual artistic scenes, and captivating images! Concept is a secret. You’ll have to follow me on social media to get hints! Sometimes, I’ll even ask my fans for their artistic suggestions!
What’s been the pros and cons of pursuing your music career?
Pros: creating new music, fulfillment, self-growth, networking with other talented musicians and producers, and seeing how much happiness my songs have made my listeners feel.
Cons: working late into the morning and it messes up my sleep schedule.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
Yes! My mom, my twin sister, my long time friends Ian Lim, Jimmy C., Josue I.,Teshia C., Ruthie G., Candace S., Marvin S., Brite M., Gerald D., Wilson A., Scott M., Joseph S., Joy H., Javi H., Violeta R., Diana M., and Dolly G.
What do you think makes your fan community different from others?
I think I’m so versatile that I’m able to gain a mix audience. They are able to find a connection within my craft that they can identify with.
I have a melting pot of fans who follow me either because of my love for Disney, Cosplay, Gothic style, love for the Vampire community, or Pop culture.
How would you describe your fans? – what three words you would use to describe your fans?
They are very involved, curious, and supportive.
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
My message is that everyone has a voice and you can be heard. Stand up for yourself, grab life by the horns, cross boundaries, and go on an amazing adventure! Hard work pays off and you need to do the work. No one else is going to do it for you.
I want them to be inspired and motivated to make their dreams come true.
Are you planning any IG Live shows to promote your new music?
YES! I plan to do one every week! So please tune in. The schedule and reminders will be on my ig stories.
What is it like performing in front of your fans? Do you get excited performing for them?
I find it exhilarating and liberating. I live to perform. I don’t get nervous until 10 minutes before I get on stage. The nerves hit hard once my feet touch the stairs to get up on stage. BUT I LIVE IT AND LOVE IT!
What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?
To always be yourself and to never care what other’s think or say about you. When life gives you lemon, kick that sucker out of the way and grab an orange! Lol!
What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
I have an obsession for Snickers Ice Cream Bars and I’m a crazy perfectionist.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
FULFILMENT.
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
I want them to know that they’re awesome and they can always come up and say “Hi!”
I’m friendly and approachable as long you have a Snickers Ice Cream Bar. Hahaha.
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
Yes. I am dying to meet the amazing, Lady Gaga.
What’s your current go-to song?
It depends on my mood! But given the spirit of Halloween,
My current “go-to” song is “SWARM ‘EAT ME ALIVE’.”
Why do you think social media is so important for artists?
I think it’s important because you can endlessly self promote your music and create any content you want. I get to personally know my fans and discover the type of listeners that are drawn to my music. I can go live any time and talk to them. It’s important because you can reach people from all over the world. I get full easy access to a global platform.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
My biggest goal is to write a song, have it featured on a well known TV show or movie, and to also be acting in that same tv show or movie.
Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
I have a crush on Ed Sheeran and Tom Ellis (we all know this one). LOL Oh, and just like the title of my song, “Dancing With The Devil,” A lot of people are afraid to dance with opportunities and chances.
Don’t let them fly away. Grab them by the horns and go for it.
Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions 🙂
You’re welcome.
