New Justin Bieber music is on its way, and it appears as if the 20-year-old is taking on a new musical direction for his forthcoming project.
The Canadian singer took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared two 15-second teasers of his new music. Both previews, set to a background photo of himself playing the guitar, are tender acoustic ballads about a relationship. In one clip (above), he sings, “How do our lives become lighter / how do our eyes become brighter / got to believe in something higher.”
In the second clip (below), which is a somber heartbreak track with soft acoustic strums, he sings, “When it’s raining it’s pouring / how do I always end up the enemy / how do I wake up in the morning / and you’re not right next to me / how did we throw it all away?”
The teasers immediately sent the Jelena fandom on a frenzy, with fans assuming that the tracks were inspired by his on-again, off-again relationship with Selena Gomez, who is rumored to be dating EDM producer Zedd.
