Hey JD! So excited to be chatting with you! Can you tell us what it’s like being the youngest artist to ever be signed to Hollywood Records?
I have always loved to sing, and having the chance to follow my dream at such a young age is a blessing. I’m so thankful!
Your new single “Keep In Touch” was just debuted on Radio Disney on Thursday, January 24th! How excited are you for all your supporters to hear your new song?!?
I can’t wait! The song is out now on every major platform, go check it out!
What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?
Keep in Touch is all about staying connected with your family and loved ones. It’s upbeat with a super catchy melody. I hope my supporters love the song as much as I do, I’m sure they will.
You also have more music coming out in 2019!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to this year?!?
Oh man, this is going to be a busy year! I’m currently working on putting together an album with my Hollywood Records family. We’re in the very early stages of planning but I’ll give you more details soon. Of course “The Lion King” comes out this summer and also “Little” movie with Issa Rae, Marsai Martin and Regina Hall in theaters this April.
Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?
I write all my music with the help of my dad and uncle. They’ve been around the music industry forever!
Are you releasing a music video along with your new single? If so, Can you tell us about the concept of the music video?
Yes, video coming soon. Can’t wait to share it with you!
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
I’m very thankful to have such a great team of people around me and my mom and dad are sure to keep me grounded and humble. And of course
How would you describe your fans? – what’s three words you would use to describe your fans?
My fans, we call them the #McCrazies and I love them all! They’re awesome, loyal and fun!
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I want my fans to know that you can accomplish your dream at any age. My hashtag #kidpower is all about pursing your passion no matter what!
Many of your supporters are starstruck when they meet you Have you ever been starstruck?
Of course! I look up to so many big stars in Hollywood. They inspire me! I love Logic and was so starstruck when I met him for the first time. But he’s the nicest and proud to call him a friend!
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
Come say hello! Give me all your fortnite tips!
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
My biggest goal is continuing to make music that brings people together. I also want to act in a Marvel movie and would love to graduate high school at 16!
