You started your acting career at a very young age, what inspired you to try acting?

Ever since I was 3 years old, I would point to the Tv and tell my parents I wanted to be in there. At the age of 4, my mom took me to go see “Annie” on Broadway, I cried because I wanted to be on stage not in the audience. That’s when my mom enrolled me into the preschool of performing arts. I loved it!

What’s your favorite part about being on set?

My favorite part about being on set is being able to learn about all the magic happening behind the scenes. It gives me chills to see everything come together into a beautiful masterpiece.

Did you have a favorite role you played? If so what was the role and why was it your favorite?

When I played Ruth, in a short film, called “The good church”, I loved the idea of being able to play someone I wasn’t. It was So cool to get into a different type of character, plus I loved when people would get scared on set because of how scary I was.

Are there any other acting projects in the works you can tell us about?

I am so excited to announce that I will be working on another feature film, called “BITS” directed by one of my favorite directors, Mr.Edward Payson. I’ll be working alongside Najarra Townsend, form the horror movie,”Contracted”

You also started your singing career at a very young age, what inspired you to try singing?

I grew up listening to my grandma’s spanish music, I loved the rhythm of the music and how it connected me to my heritage. Linda Ronstadt and Selena Quintanilla have been the 2 amazing women people have compared me too. Just like me, they didn’t speak fluent spanish, but I had a love for the language that was big enough for me to learn it and sing it.

You just recently released your first single, can you tell us about the song?

The inspiration for my song is inspired by all the powerful women in my life, from my mom, my grandma, aunts, cousins and friends. My music video featured my best friend Nicole Lemus, who I meet on this app called Musically. Nicole was being bullied online while broadcasting live on the app. After I saw all the hateful comments, I knew I had to stick up for her, little did I know a friendship will blossom from this. Now we are inseparable and I’m so happy she was able to represent girl power in my music video.

Did you want to be an actor and singer when you were little, or did that develop later on?

I always wanted to be singer, actor and a dancer since I was three.

How would you describe your musical style?

I would say my style is very mixed, but my recent single titled “Dance with me” is definitely pop ballad. The single expresses what it’s like to be a strong Independent girl in our society today. I also love to sing in Spanish! I may not always know the meaning of the words, I am working on that part.

Are there any artists that you look up to right now?

My musical inspiration are Etta James, Christina Aguilera, Elvis Presley, and Ariana Grande. I also look up to Anthony Gonzales, who I believe is amazing role model in this industry, his voice in the movie “Coco” moved me. I even did a cover of his song “Remember Me” for my great uncle’s memorial. He also started singing and acting at young age, just like me.

Have you ever been starstruck by anyone you’ve met so far?

I was starstruck when I met Anthony Gonzales at an audition. Him and I were auditioning to play siblings for a commercial, I just had to ask him to take a picture with me. He was so humble and sweet, he was truly an amazing person to meet.

Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?

There will be more singles in the future, maybe even an album, but right now I’m focusing on improving my spanish and learning how to play the guitar. I hope to mix these in with more upcoming singles.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

As I had mentioned I will be working on a horror film in a few weeks and I also have a couple of other projects in the works that I am unable to talk about at this time and I hope to be in the recording studio very soon with my new original song.

What are your friends and parents thoughts on your career in singing and acting?

They have all been very supportive they all know this is my passion. I have them all on a group text to share what I am up to.

What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?

My goals in my future is to continue learning and improving each day with my acting classes, voice lessons, guitar lessons, spanish lessons and dance lessons. My biggest wish is to create a non-profit organization called Sprinkles where twice a year, Fellow creators and I come together to throw a huge Birthday party for kids in unsheltered communities. Everyone deserves Sprinkles on their Birthday!

What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment so far in your career as a singer and actor?

My biggest accomplishment so far in my singing career has been the release of my first original “Dance with Me” and my first music video. My biggest accomplishment as an actor is my continued growth in my craft, I learn new skills in acting all the time. But, I would probably say my upcoming role in BITS will forsure be exciting!

Overall, how has this whole acting and singing career experience been for you?

Oh my goodness it has been Amazing, a lot of hard work, dedication and perseverance. I have meet so many incredibly talented people. Who are so happy to share their passion with me, and there words of wisdom I will take with me along my journey. I have also meet many actor friends who I enjoy spending time with with both on and off the set.

Do you have any advice for anyone trying to make it as a singer or actor?

We are all strong enough to stand up and follow our dreams, with hard work and deternination you’re dreams can come true.
