Hey Hariz!! So excited to be chatting with you. Where did your love of music come from?

Hey! Thanks for having me! I would say my love of music was something I was just born with. There’s nothing that really makes me feel the same, physically or mentally, the way a good song does, ya know?

Can you tell us what your newest release ,”I Got You,” means to you?

“I Got You” was written about that one person in your life that is always there to support you, whether it’s a friend, partner, sibling, or parent, that one person who if you had nothing else but them, you’d be completely fine. And with everything going on in the world it’s really taken on an even deeper meaning – things are so fragile and in times like this you really realize that the most important thing is your relationships and people you love!

What’s been your reaction to your fans’ love for “I Got You”?

I’m speechless, because I’m so honored and humbled that so many people are connecting to that message on the deepest level. So I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who’s been playing it, sharing it, and just vibing to it.

How excited were you to get ‘I Got You” out into the world?

I was beyond hyped to get it out, especially because it was sitting in my “vault” of songs for a few years, and I totally forgot about it. Then I came across it randomly one day a few months ago and I was like “I can’t believe I never put this out”! So we rushed to finish up the production so I could finally put that bop out into the world!

What was it like working with Chris Wallace on this song?

Chris is a great guy, and he’s an amazing songwriter! He’s had a lot of incredible experiences in the music industry and so he’s been a great person to learn from.

How did the concept for the lyric video come about?

I worked with my video editor, and we talked about the meaning of the song and it just fit perfectly because life itself is a giant gamble. We all do our best to make the best choices, whether in relationships, jobs, etc., but life doesn’t always turn out the way you want it to. Although, we all have that one person in our life that if you had nothing else but them, you’d be completely fine. So win or lose, you’ve already essentially hit the jackpot because you have them. They are your “I got you.”

Do you have any other release plans for summer 2020?

I can’t say right now but I have been in studio over the past few weeks and I can’t wait until I can share more!

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I live my life as an open book, and I want my fans to always have that relationship with me as well. Music is a very personal art, but everyone has their own unique interpretations and experiences when connecting with my music, so I’d love for them to know they can always be open with me, I want to hear their stories and what they connect with!

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I’m a black belt in Tang Soo Do, so I can kick some butt when I need to haha!

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

That you can always come up to me no matter what! I’ve caught some people staring sometimes, or whispering to their friends wondering if it’s me or not- but really, I literally don’t care if I’m in the middle of chewing my food, come up and say hi!

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

That you’re never alone. Everyone goes through different experiences, but the base emotions that we feel are the same. We’re all connected and should support each other.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Happiness. They’ve given me the purest form of happiness.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Oh man, there are so many! But right now at the top of my list is Ed Sheeran, he is a lyrical genius!

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

I think social media is so important because it allows you to get to know all the people that support you. It’s opened up a direct line of communication between artists and listeners that wasn’t there before. I can connect with the people who listen to my music from all over the world and that’s incredible!

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

This may sound insane, especially right now, but my biggest goal is to sell out a stadium! Live shows are my favorite part about being an artist, so that would be incredible.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

A big thank you to everyone who’s been loving the music, the message, and me. I wouldn’t have any of this if it weren’t for all of you! THANK YOU!
