Hey Dani! So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your debut single “Queen”! How excited are you that this song is finally out into the world?

I am so excited to be chatting with you too! Yes I did! Finally! I am so ecstatic that Queen is finally out for listeners around the world to hear! It has been a fun journey recording, writing and marketing for this song.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope my fans will listen to it and feel more empowered in some way. I want them to feel more confident in their own life. I want them to feel more inspired to do what they want in life. I want this song to help them love themselves more. I want it to inspire self love, to put themselves first and to claim what they want in life. I want it to inspire them to be their own queen! I want it to be an anthem for them to help them step into their power and do whatever they want in life.

Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?

I have met a lot of guys who always want to be the one calling the shots. I wanted to create a song that would create a role reversal and have me in charge. I wanted to be the one who was in control, who broke their hearts for once. It is an anthem to every guy who broke my heart to show them I am strong and I will not let future guys treat me like the way I have let myself be treated in the past. Examples, being used, walked over, used for my relationships in the business etc. Some men would flirt with me or pretend they want to be my friend  just to gain relationships in the music industry since I know a lot of people. So even to this day it can be hard to know who is my friend and who is trying to be my friend to gain something out of it. So this song is not as literal, it draws from finally having enough and saying I am done letting men treat me like this. I can relate to it though because in my own life I am very much a bold boss especially in the business world. So it is more about tapping into my confident, powerful version of myself and saying I can do anything and will not let anyone break my heart again. Which obviously isn’t possible to prevent but it does empower me alot. Also I really wanted the song to empower others.

You also have more music coming out soon!! Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you the rest of the year?!?

My supporters can look forward to hearing more songs soon. I have been working with several people to write a ton of new material. My newest song I will release will probably be Gone. I wrote this one with Zac Lavender, a super talented multi-instrumentalist out of Atlanta.

Do you have a creative say in your music? Did you help write all your new songs?

I have all creative say in my music. I co-write all my songs with other writers or producers. I don’t think I could sing a song I didn’t write on. Writing comes so naturally to me. I draw from all different experiences. I love to collaborate with many different people.

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

I love releasing my own original music. I have been writing and recording my own music since I was 14 years old.  I worked with producers who also write the music and produced it.

Where did your love of music come from?

My biggest love for music came from my parents who always would play sing along movies, nursey rhymes and  disney since I was a kid. I grew up always hearing music. Then, I discovered musical theatre. My dad took me to my first show Rent, that really got me even more into theatre. Before that I was singing songs from Annie in different talent shows on different vacations. I did all the plays in elementary and middle school. I grew up doing theatre, I loved it! I used to create dance routines to all the older music like Britney Spears, Spice Girls etc. I always loved performing since I was 2 years old. Music has been a constant in my life since I was practically born.

Will there be a music video for your new single? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video

Yes! I am so excited to be sharing my animated music video for Queen coming soon!
