You started your music career at a very young age, what inspired you to pursue music?

I love to sing. I’ve been singing since I was very little, if it was around the house, in the shower, in my parents’ car, etc. I’m sure I annoyed my friends and family with my musical outbursts :). When we were kids, my sisters and I used to watch the movie Tarzan. I was obsessed with not only the movie, but the artist who sang the soundtrack, Phil Collins. Ever since that moment, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I think I know that soundtrack word for word.

How would you describe your musical style?

My musical style is very diverse. I’m inspired by so many different artists and the way they sing, write, even their presences on stage. I like to make my music have an emotion, the emotion I’m feeling at that particular time, or the experience I am going through at that time of my life. It’s an emotional experience for me, and I hope that comes across in my music. If I would have to classify the music, it’s a clean mix between pop and R&B.

What artists do you look up to right now?

I love, love, love Elvis right now, playing too much of it in the house. I’m also playing anyone from the Beach Boys to Khalid, Bruno Mars, etc. It all varies, but I love these artists.

Your recently released your new single “OPTIONS” off your new Hardly Understood EP, How did the song get created?

It was created because I was going through something in my life at that time. I was fighting myself and putting myself through something I knew wasn’t healthy for me and needed to move away from it. It was holding me down at the moment, while I was turning down so many “options” that were good for me, if it was my career, my life, my growth, etc. I wanted to express myself in this song, but I also wanted to love myself for me, who I am, etc., and that is how “Options” was created 🙂

What has been your thought about the reaction of the new single?

It amazed me. I’m so happy that everyone who has heard it enjoys it. All I can say is THANK YOU for that! I really wanted my fans to relate to what I was singing about, and they did! I didn’t expect that, at least to the amount of reaction it has been getting. A heartbreak can lead to a happier future.

How did the idea for this song come about?

The song came from my life experience, a heartbreak, but also going through the steps of growth and life. I wanted to express my feelings in this song to those who are or went through a situation like I did.

This single is the first single off your Hardly Understood EP. What’s the theme for this EP?

The theme of this EP is I’m always trying evolve as an artist or person. I’m a perfectionist. I’ll be the first one to say it. This EP was itching at me, and I woke up one morning and thought about the people around me and/or what my experiences have been with others, and noticed that a lot of people have a hard time accepting themselves in some capacity, and that stood out to me. I know people are imperfect in their perfect way, and I love that. I actually love about myself, I’m going to rock whatever it is and how I see myself. People’s opinions don’t matter to me. The only one that matters is mine, and that is a part of the theme with this EP. I’ve also noticed a lot of people who are in my surroundings, who get to know me, who still don’t understand me, will see it through this EP. – https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/hardly-understood/1383779562

Any fun moments while creating the EP?

Haha! There were too many to mention. The entire creation was fun!

What’s been your favorite song to write & record and why?

Tough choice. I love them all. I would have to say “Cage.” At the time, the producers and myself were having a fun night in the studio, lighthearted energy, beautiful people were around, and I just let the animal out and sang as hard as I could. I would say “Cage” was one of the only songs that I had to be completely vulnerable to the process, and that is wonderful, but scary at the same time. I hope you get that from listening to “Cage.”

What song are you most excited to perform from this new EP?

OPTIONS! It’s so fun to perform!

What does it feel like to perform your own music live in front of your supporters?

One of my favorites parts about performing, besides being on stage, is seeing my fans, the audience, the people come together with the same feeling of the song and dance. Seeing them enjoy the song, jumping, dancing, singing along, it’s the best feeling!

How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?

I want to be able to be as close to them as I can. I try to answer as many of them as I can, through social media, at performances, on the street, etc. It’s nothing but so much love and respect for my supporters.

Have you had any crazy fan encounters?

I actually haven’t had a crazy experience yet.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

I think all the social media platforms are important. Each one has a different type of outreach, but there is something about Snapchat that I LOVE!

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

I’m about to shoot two music videos from songs off my new EP. I’m in the middle of creating three new songs and I’m in the studio every day!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you for being a part of this journey. I can’t do it without you!
