Hey Caroline 🙂 So excited to be chatting with you! You are gearing up for the release of your debut EP! How excited are you to get this project out into the world?

I am beyond excited! This EP has really been about 5 years in the making, so to be only a bit over a month from release day is surreal.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music? & What do you hope they’ll get from hearing your new songs?

I hope people love it and find something in the songs that they can connect with, that’s one of my main goals as a songwriter and an artist.

Can you tell us the backstory of the new EP? Is it from a real experience?

Yeah, all the songs are either something I went through or felt! I wrote all the songs over the course of a few years in different cities, so each song marks a time and place in my life.

What does this EP mean to you?

My upcoming EP “The Prologue” really means a lot to me. Writing these songs has helped me find myself and who I am not only as an artist but as a person. It’s the first chapter in my book!

Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to from you the rest of the year?!?

More music, visuals and content!! Even with everything going on in the world, I’m not slowing down! 🙂

What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?

Incredible! It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. So, that fact that I’m in the middle of releasing all this new music is a dream.

Will there be a music video for any of your new singles? If so, can you tell us about the concept of the video 🙂

I’m actually doing a really unique video series that will be rolling out quite soon! I’ll give you a little hint..it’s live 🙂

Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?

My parents! They’ve always believed in me even when it was easier for them to tell me to stay in University and keep on that path, they knew that what I really needed and wanted was to do music.

Are you planning any shows to promote your new music?

Yes! I’ve been doing a bunch of FB and Instagram lives on different pages and I also have my weekly Instagram Live series on my own page, every Wednesday at 7pm CT!

What is it like performing in front of your fans?

It’s so fun! Playing shows is one of my favorite things to do, you can see people connecting with the music in real time.

What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?

It’s ok not to have life figured out! We’re all making it up as we go.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

I love to cook! It’s become a really big passion of mine in my free time.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

Say hi!! I love meeting people who listen to my music, such an awesome thing.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

I’d love to meet Kacey Musgraves! She’s just the coolest.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

It’s the best way to connect with people! I’ve been doing a weekly Instagram Live series called “Caro-Wine Down Wednesdays” and it’s really let me get to know my followers more and break down the wall of social media that can be there sometimes.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

My biggest dream and goal right now is for the EP to do really well when it releases and for that to open more doors! I’m an independent artist at the moment and I hope that won’t always be the case. 🙂

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you for your support!! If you want to keep up with all that I’m doing, you can follow me on Instagram and all other socials @carolinemarquard
