I will admit this wasn’t the easiest article to write. I fall under that group of people that wasn’t too sure how I felt about Jacob Sartorius, but I think it’s time we stop with the hate and judgment.
Earlier today, Jacob released a YouTube video called “My Life”. In this video, Jacob opened up about something very personal to him. He felt it was the right time to open up to us and share a little bit about his personal life. Jacob informed us that he was adopted and that he was very blessed to be given this amazing family.
Jacob opened up to us by saying, “Luckily for me I was able to be adopted by two of the most loving parents in the world, my mom and my dad. Growing up in Virgina with them and my amazing sister, Caroline I’ve had the best childhood any kid could ask for. It’s had its ups and downs, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t change my life for anything. Then you guys came along you guys give me the support I need you get through any tough times that come my way. I feel like I can share anything with you guys that’s why I made this video. But to be honest, nothings changed. I’m still me and being adopted is something I’ve never tried to hide or keep a secret. My friends and family have known all this, but I think it’s the right time that all you guys know too. We’ve grown so much together in such a short amount of time and I know this is only going to make us closer I appreciate you all taking the time to listen to my story it really means a lot to me. With that being said, I have tons of stuff coming with music and acting and I can’t wait to share it with you guys. Through the thick and thin, haters and supporters, I love you guys. I encourage you to share your story!”
What Jacob revealed takes a lot of courage for someone to come out and say, especially someone that gets as much hate as he does. So let’s not use this against him because he’s opening his heart out to us fans.
He wouldn’t turn against us, so let’s not turn against him. Many people genuinely love him and he genuinely loves his fans back wholeheartedly. If anyone had the right to be upset all the time and not care it’s him because of all the hate he gets. Many of his videos get more dislikes than they do likes, but he doesn’t take that smile off his face and he always has a positive attitude towards us fans. A lot of people could learn from that. He is the definition of haters are his motivators.
