Hey Erin!! How would you describe your musical style and what artists do you look up to?
I like to say that I am a pop/soul artist. I am often inspired by artists such as Sam Smith, Ed Sheehan, Jessie J, and James Arthur.
You just released your new single “Right Man”!! Can you spill any details on what it was like creating this song?
“Right Man” is a song that I wrote based off of my own experiences with guys. I wrote this song about the guys that just don’t understand that you may not be ready for a serious relationship. I hope that other girls will be able to relate to this song when they meet a guy that just doesn’t understand their feelings.
What does it feel like to be releasing your own original music?
I am so excited to say that I am releasing my own music. It feels so good to have songs that I wrote, out for people to listen and relate to.
What’s your process of choosing a song to record?
Often I start with a few chords on my guitar. Next I write melodies and lyrics. As soon as I have a few songs written, I choose my favorite one to record and release.
What was it like making the music video for your new single, “Right Man”?
Making the music video for “Right Man” was so much fun. I really enjoyed seeing the song come to life.
Will there be an EP/Album out soon?
I am currently working on an EP for you all! I will be releasing it sometime next year.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?
I am always on Instagram! I always make sure to comment back and answer every DM!
Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists today?
I feel like social media gives artists like me an opportunity to share our music on other platforms, rather than just places such as Spotify and iTunes. Someone may find my music on an insta story or a TikTok video and they may love it so much that they want to listen to the whole thing.
What’s an average day for you look like?
Each day is different for me. Some days I may have a studio sessions, other days I may be spending time with family. I always try to stay busy and do what I love. If I don’t have much going on, then you can always find me playing my guitar and writing new music.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy playing with makeup, hiking, riding my four wheeler, or giving back. Community service is a big part of my life, and I feel like it is a way that I can say thank you to God for all He has done for my family and I.
What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?
My two biggest goals in life are to win a grammy and have my own animal shelter. I one day want to tour and I hope to always put music out.
Do you have any advice for aspiring music artists?
Never give up! No matter who believes in you or what someone says, always remember this is your passion and you love it no matter what.
