You just released your new single “Losing You”! What has been your reaction to all the success the new single has been having?
Oscar: It’s been amazing! The feedback from all the fans for the song and the video has been quite incredible! To hear your own song played on the radio has been really exciting!
Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it from a real experience?
Oscar: Well I think everyone has had times when they have argued with best friends or family and got angry about it. The main message of the song is that even if you argue and fight you should try to work it out and stay friends. Sometimes taking out some time to calm down helps to solve many problems.
You also released a powerful video along with your new single, how did the idea for the video come about?
Oscar: We were discussing a few ideas for how to get the message of the song across in a way that my fans could relate to it. I think many kids see their parents arguing and I thought why not show how this feels. The red thread idea was awesome!
What’s it feel like to be releasing your own original music?
Oscar: It is just amazing. I have been playing covers of artists that I love for years but to have my own music out there for people to enjoy is the best feeling! More new originals are coming soon too which I can’t wait to share.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
Oscar: My parents. They are both so supportive and are really helping me to live my dream. I can’t thank them enough for what they do. And my sisters of course, they have had to listen to me playing since they were born!
How would you describe your fans?
Oscar: They are just THE BEST! They are so positive, happy and always writing amazing kind comments. I get a ton of DMs which is great as I feel really connected to them.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
Oscar: Grateful
With an already massive fanbase your fans must they have a name for themselves. What do your fans call themselves? And How did that fanbase name catch on?
Oscar: Actually, I don”t think that they have a name for themselves…perhaps we can ask them to come up with one!
What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?
Oscar: That they should just come up and say hi and have a chat. I love talking to them and seeing how they are.
Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?
Oscar: I think that it is just incredible that there are fans all over the world that are able to listen to my music and like it. There are fans all over the world in the US, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, all over Europe and of course in my home country of Sweden. This would never have been possible without social media. It is amazing.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
Oscar: Right now I just want to keep releasing great original music and to play live in front of as many people as possible!
Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
Oscar: That they are amazing and I love them! And to watch out… new music is coming!!!
