Hey Jessica! So excited to be chatting with you!! How excited are you that your new single “Throwback” is finally out into the world?

Hi! It’s so nice to chat with you as well 🙂 I am very excited! I’m so grateful and pleased with the positive feedback I have received from my supporters.

Where did the inspiration for the song come from?

I went through a terrible breakup. It was honestly the hardest time in my life. His heart was mended, but mine wasn’t. All I wanted was for us to be together again, just like we used to be. I wanted a Throwback 🙂

Any fun moments while creating/recording the song?

The whole team was amazing… and we all definitely had a lot of laughs. I would say the funniest moment, when creating the song, was the vocals. In my younger years of vocal training, I was always classically- trained. My vocals were never fully trained to belt. In “Throwback,” there are some ad libs and vocals that require belting… and it probably took me about 20 or more tries to get it perfect, and then after that, my throat was so sore, I couldn’t talk the rest of the night ?

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope they are loving it! It is a very upbeat, lighthearted, happy song… so I hope they are loving it, as much as I do 🙂

What’s the process of writing one of your songs?

The process really varies. I am always constantly writing lyrics, and some are about happy things and some about sad things. Sometimes, I already have my lyrics done, and I go to one of my producers; and other times, I will sit in a room with writers, producers, and engineers, and we all collab on making the hit!! Collaborating with other songwriters, is sometimes my favorite way to create a song, because it can be very interesting to bounce ideas back and forth until you get it perfect 🙂

Where did your love of music come from?

Definitely my dad. I have always grown up in a very musical family… so I think it was always my destiny to be a singer ? My dad is also a musician. One day, my dad asked me to go to the studio with him, and the team ended up needing a female voice on the track. The producer asked me to step into the booth and give it a try, and from that day on, I knew what I was meant to do. I remember sitting in the car, on the way back from the studio with my dad, and hearing my voice from the car speakers. My dad looked at me and said, your name is going to be in big lights one day… and it was at that moment that my journey began.

Will there be a music video for your new single?

I have a new song called “Sad Song,” which will be released on February 14th. There may or may not be a video for it 😉

Any other fun projects in the works you can tell us about?

Lots! The main one is my song being released soon.. And aside from that, some secret things that I can’t say just yet 😉

What social media platform do you use mostly to stay connected with your supporters?

Definitely my Instagram and Snapchat. I love to stay connected with my supporters, and Instagram is definitely the best way to message me. I try to answer as many messages as I can 🙂 Both my Instagram and Snapchat are @jessicazeltzer

What’s one word you would use to describe what your supporters have allowed you to accomplish?

“Growth,” is the one word I would use to describe what my supporters have allowed me to accomplish. My supporters mean everything to me. Without them, I would not be where I’m at today. They have my heart.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Yes…”thank you so much for believing in me, thank you for supporting me, thank you for trusting me, and thank you for being a part of my family. I love you.”

Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me 🙂
