Hey Bailey! So excited to be chatting with you again. Your new single “Stuck” has such a powerful meaning. What do you hope your supporters will think of the new song?

I hope that my supporters can connect to this song as the new school year begins. There are so many kids suffering from anxiety and depression. I want kids to know that they should never feel ‘Stuck” and that the hopeless feelings that they feel now will eventually fade away.

Can you tell us the meaning of the song and how it came about?

Well…I am a 7th grade student and when I was younger I had severe anxiety related to school. Looking back I realize that those fears that I once had really made no sense but the feelings of anxiety were real for me at the time. I was convinced that something terrible would happen at school. Eventually I did overcome my fear and anxiety but during the process I lost friendships due to changing schools, I lost my sense of control and at the time felt like my whole world was falling apart. I learned to face my fears through performing and writing my own music. I did a lot of theater at the time and realized that if I could excel on stage as a character other than myself, that I could excel as myself! That is exactly what I did and now I love sharing my story with kids and teens my age that maybe struggling with fear or anxiety. This song was written in relation to those feelings that I felt when I was younger. I hope that the lyrics will speak to kids all around the world that may be suffering silently or just simply feel “Stuck” in whatever situation that they find themselves in.

We are so excited to be premiering the lyric video for your new single, “Stuck”. Can you tell us about the new video & how the idea got created?

I decided that I wanted this song to have a lyric video rather than the typical music video. I want kids to listen and pay more attention to the lyrics rather than myself. The message in the song is so much more powerful than bringing attention to myself. We had the idea that I would be more of a shadow to the actual lyrics so we tried to create that in the video. We actually filmed this at my church in the youth building because we needed a building with no windows to create the effect that we wanted. Shout out to my youth Pastor Cody Mummau for helping make this happen. Also a huge shoutout to David Richardson for bringing this idea to life.

Any fun moments while on the set?

The video had to be filmed in total darkness so filming was pretty easy and straightforward.

With such a massive following, why do you think social media is so important to artists today?

I feel that it is so important because it helps the artist relate to fans and for fans to relate to the artist. Followers can gain insight in to the lives of artists and the connection becomes so much more valid. Through social media fans can follow the progression of many artist.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

I personally use Instagram and Facebook. A lot of kids my age don’t use Facebook but I have found that Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with followers of all ages. Instagram has a lot of fun and cool options and its easy to let followers peak inside your daily life.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

I want my relationship to be personal. I try to make it a point to answer all emails and direct messages. I enjoy connecting with my followers and want them to know that I support them as much as they support me.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

Yes, I am actually traveling back to LA mid Sept. to record a new single. It is a fun, high energy pop style song that I absolutely can’t wait to share with everyone. During this trip I plan to work out details for the official music video as well. I will kickoff traveling to local Boys and Girls clubs as well as elementary and middle schools to speak to kids about issues that our youth face.

Any last things you would like to tell your supporters?

I just want to say thank you so everyone who has supported me and my journey. I have enjoyed the many opportunities along the way and I am so thankful for my amazing experiences. I look forward to many more amazing opportunities but most importantly helping our youth today!
