Hey Bo, so excited to be chatting with you! What would you say brought on your passion for acting at such a young age?

Well I was kinda thrown into it by chance. I was discovered in a mall at 9 months old while shopping with my parents. (I wasn’t shopping my self yet.) However growing up on sets made the feeling of film special. I loved watching movies as well and knowing I had the opportunities to be in films got me stoked as a child.

What is one movie that has greatly influenced your life?

Solid question I’m gonna have to think… Clockwork orange is a heavy hitter for sure. That movie has weirdly followed me around I feel, that movie is weird in general. I had a interesting experience preparing for Palo Alto; me and the cast crashed at Gias garage and watched the film on the actual tv that her dad used in Apocalypse Now. We spent a weekend at the garage living and building chemistry.

I love anime and just to touch on that I think that Akira is an awesome work of art.

What would be your dream acting role?

hmm, I think playing a role  like the joker could be interesting. Not the joker obviously because I don’t want to step up to that plate. There been some amazing players in for the joker. I think it is awesome when an actor can bring emotion to scene with just their eyes and I feel like most jokers have been able to do that. So a role that requires heavy internal processing. I played a role like this in a short but it would be fun to dive deeper and play one for a series or full length. That or a character like Zach Galifianakis in The Hangover.

You are best known for your role in Cobra Kai. Can you tell us about the character you portray?

Brucks; he’s a fun loving ass hole with no self awareness. He’s barley held to the ground by his innocent heart and slightly above average intellect. I say barely because Kyler is his hero and worst influence.

What has this role been like for you?

A truly amazing experience, this is the first time I felt like I was able let loose into a character. Jon, Josh and Hayden trusted me and I’m super grateful.

Has this role opened doors for you in the acting world?

I think it’s been a truly invaluable feather in my cap but with Netflix’s recent acquisition I believe we will see if that happens in the next few months. I think it will for sure.

Do you have any projects in the works you can tell us about?

Yes! Skateshop The Movie! Check us out on Instagram. It’s a movie about the importance of skateboarding and the community that a small business brings together.

If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions — what would it say and why? (If helpful, it can be someone else’s quote: Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?)

heavy… Teyana Taylor recently said “Love is the new money” in her song We Got Love. That would be rad in a billboard. Brucks would say ”Skinny dips and bong rips”. Ahah. I personally think about balance, carpe diem, and love. I tell my homies “If you’re gonna do something, do it!”

What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?

Not that random but I love skateboarding, here is where it gets unusual. I love it so much that when I can’t skate I fingerboard! (play with Tech Decks).

What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career in acting? What advice should they ignore?

good one… Well the game is changing rapidly. COVID-19 most likely has changed it forever but here’s three things; use your phone and make movies for fun. That darn phone is more powerful that the nicest camera ten years ago and you take selfies with it. Don’t worry about going viral. The 15 minutes of fame won’t hold a career so practice your craft I’ve been doing this for 24 years! Haha. Finally ignore all the egos and hazing. Most people in the business have a bad attitude but there’s bad apples inevery facet. If you ever make it big don’t act like a kook. (Bonus 4th sorry).

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?

This has been changing recently. I have been trying to learn how to control my breathing. Using the Wim Hoff method, deep breathing can help tremendously. If I can get into a flow state from skating , biking, or something physical that will totally reset me. Sometimes I even slap my self in the face and tell my self to stop acting like a fool. Just depends on what the issue is at hand.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I want lots of homies. I want to know people everywhere I go. I love everyone. I want to treat others as I want to be treated. To all the homies; If I ever come off bad in the DMs/in person please tell me cause I’ll call you out too!

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

Hmmm, I have an awesome playlist building knack. Trying to get on as an Apple Music curator. Haha.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

Come say hey and tell me where the best BBQ spot in town is. If you see me wearing a ripped denim vest like Brucks in episode one it’s probably not a good day to say hey. Haha

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

Relief from the worldly shackles that the mind can create. Laughter, smiles, happiness, love.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Life.

Is there anyone in the acting world you are dying to meet?

Hahah interesting question. I hope to meet Robin Williams one day.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

DIY Content. True creative freedom. Anyone who has followers and they are not sharing creations is missing the mark.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

I’d love to work with Kanye west, spending all the time possible with my wife, family and friends, skating my face off, physical, spiritual, and mental health and staying awake.

Any last things you’d like to tell your supporters?

if you made it this far I love you, I’m sure there are lots of others out there that do too but if you ever need someone to listen or help please let me know. Treat your body and the earth as a temple, you only get one of each. God is love. Thanks Y’all!

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions 🙂

of course great times. You had some fun questions to answer!
