Hey Hitha! So excited to be chatting with you! You just released your latest single “Special” & it’s awesome! I love it!! What has been your thought about the reaction of the song?
SPECIAL is creating lot of buzz. I’m super happy with the reaction. On Facebook it clocked more than 1 million views in a month. Positive feedback from my fanbase. This is motivating me to innovate more.
Can you tell us the backstory of this song? Is it based on a real experience?
Yes, SPECIAL is about the special person in your life. “Who is that SPECIAL person whom you always feel like the air you breathe? This song is dedicated to that person. I sang this song for my grandmother. She was very important to me. A lot of times, pop songs are focused on romantic relationship and overlook all the other possible relationships. However, my song SPECIAL is about any person that you care about.
Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to this year?
My supporters can look forward to more songs and concerts. I have some good content coming up this year. We are planning on releasing my next single “INDEPENDENT’ in April.
What does it feel like to be releasing your own original music?
It feels great about releasing my own music and I want to keep writing & creating more and more music.
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
I want to thank my family for the most. A lot of times artists do not have family support and this really brings them down. My family is always there for me and support my passion.
What do you think makes your fan community/fandom different from others?
My fans are global and all around the world. They listen to my music because they relate to their personal life.
What are three words you would use to describe your fans?
Supportive, Engaging and Amazing.
What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?
I want my fans to know that if they are going through hard times they can listen to my music to make themselves feel better. Lot of my music is about everyday issues. I want them to feel inspired and keep going. Everyone has potential and they need to focus and go after their passion.
Also, a majority of my fans are teenagers. Teenage is overwhelming and stressful. I try to inspire them with my music and want to let them know that focusing on what they want to achieve in life and with a positive mentality, they can overcome any hurdle.
Do you have any pre-show rituals that help you get pumped up to meet your supporters?
I try to stay calm and warm up my vocals. Before I perform, I always make sure to acknowledge how far I’ve come. I make sure that I’m ready to sing and have fun.
Are you planning any shows to promote your new music?
Yes, I’m releasing more songs this year and will be doing few shows to promote.
What is it like performing in front of your fans?
When I perform in front of my fans, I feel connected to them on a different level. I feel proud and thrilled to be performing in front of my fans. And I know I will do my best so that my fans can have a blast.
What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?
I want my supporters to be happy with whatever they are doing and stay positive. We all have one life and I want them to make the best out of their life.
What’s something your fans don’t know about you?
I love to play Sports!
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
‘EVERYTHING’. Without them, I wouldn’t have come this far.
Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?
I would like to meet Taylor Swift because she is not only a talented pop singer, but she is also a strong business person. And of course, my inspiration!
Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists like yourself?
Social media is extremely important as that’s the way people get to know me. People discover everything in social media nowadays. There are a lot of possible opportunities that help an artist like me.
What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?
I want to explore music and add new elements into what I am doing to create uniqueness.
