Virtual reality music videos are the next step in music video technology. Virtual reality is an interactive 3D experience where it feels like you are actually in the reality it’s portraying.
Like any thing that is new, many people didn’t have the guts to take on such a huge project and be the first to do it. That didn’t stop AJ. The music video is for his first single Tongue, which is number 1 on independent music charts. I was invited to the Music Video Release event where AJ showed his video and entertained the crowd with a new unreleased song. AJ also sang his hit single, Tongue. The event was full of celebrities who walked the red carpet and included artists that are in the music video such as Chloe Lukasiak, Twan and more.
After AJ performed, we were handed gift bags full of AJ merch and a Virtual Reality Headset on which we could enjoy the Tongue music video. Another aspect of the night that was cool in my opinion, is a group of kids from the “A Place Called Home Foundation” were invited to the event. AJ partnered with the “A Place Called Home Foundation” for this technology-infused event. He wanted to inspire and expose today’s youth to the development of virtual reality. “A Place Called Home” provides inner-city youth with educational opportunities through mentorship programs, counseling, and scholarships. It was so awesome seeing their faces when they were handed their very own VR Headset.
Not many people could have pulled this off, but AJ and Garrett did it! I am so proud of what these two accomplished. Congrats on everything! Everyone make sure to go watch the video and give it a big thumbs up! Let’s get it to 1 million views!
