Hey!! SO excited to be talking with you guys again. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to over the past few months?

Hey! For the past few months, we’ve been working super hard on finalizing our brand new single, “Now It’s You.” Since we got back from tour, we’ve been obsessed with getting this song out. We’ve been doing a lot of summer festivals and other shows as well, using our last single, “Feeling” and trying to spread that and use that into our new music. We’ve been doing a ton of writing and have been working with other artists as well. It’s been so busy but a ton of fun at the same time, so we’re really happy to have been so busy with everything.

That’s so cool!! You guys have definitely started making a name for yourself in the music industry and I can’t wait to see all that you guys have in store. Like your new single “Now It’s You” was released yesterday and it’s already gained a lot of attention from your supporters 🙂 What’s been your reaction to all the success the song is having?

Thank you so much! The new song has been reacted to so well, we’ve been seeing so many different posts about it and twitter has been crazy for us trying to keep up with everything. We’re honestly so lucky to have such dedicated fans of the music, all the words they send to us and everything that we can see is so genuine and gives us so much motivation to continue releasing more and it shows that our music, which is so personal, is resonating with everyone which means so much to us.

Can you tell us how “Now It’s You” came about?

“Now It’s You” is a very personal song to me, and I have never written anything like it before. I wrote it as if I was in a dream, thinking about all the things that can happen after you meet someone for the first time. When you lock eyes or meet someone for the first time, you begin to imagine all the things that can happen between you if you were together. It’s about that whole feeling where you go home and start to almost dream about the time and all the amazing experiences you could have if you meet someone and if you end up dating or being with them. Everyone has those times, where you sort of just start to daydream or get lost in your own thoughts and that is when you start to really get into your emotions and see things that could be.

Any fun moments while creating the song?

Tons of those moments. I remember I was producing just the music at first, and I started to go into a fase where I would just start recording things within the span of 30 seconds, and start to finalize different parts of it. The whole song was written in one night, I just went home, sat down with the music and put all the words out based off my thoughts and all the possibilities people can think of when they begin to imagine their relationship with someone. Recording the vocals is always the most interesting part of the producing, as you can really get creative and have fun with what you’re doing. To me, that is the part that stands out and really can get personal. I always throw in very subtle vocal ad libs that no one can hear unless I show them, but they’re very obvious once you first hear them and they stick with you every time you listen to the song after that.

What’s your guys’ process of choosing a song to record?

Normally it changes a lot, going back and forth between songs. It’s sort of a process where for me, I record a lot of songs all at the same time. I start to slowly get obsessed with one of them in particular, and I’ll focus on just recording that one song until it gets finished. It has to be special and we have to really have a connection to it. So for “Now It’s You,” it was a song that I had a really important connection with and when I started to record it, I instantly got obsessed and putting so many different things into it. It’s a very tiring and long process, but ultimately works out for us and helps us to grow connections with our fans.

Are you guys making a music video for “Now It’s You”?

We’re still in the process of planning it all out to be honest. We actually have a few different versions of the song that we are releasing very soon, and are really hoping to get a music video out for at least one of the versions. The video, if it ends up happening, will have a plot that reflects the whole original way the song was written. Can’t say too much else, so I hope that gives you a little idea at least! We’re super excited to get filming something for it.

Will there be an EP/Album out soon?

Yes! We are in the process of just finishing up the production of the EP, and are super excited to get it out. “Feeling” was our first single off of it, and “Now It’s You” was our second single. This is our debut EP, so we can’t wait to get it out there and hear all the responses we get from it.

Are there any other fun projects in the works you guys can tell us about?

Lately, I have been doing a lot of writing and producing for other artists, songs that they will release. It brings a whole different angle of music and writing, so it really helps me as a writer and producer. Getting different ideas for different styles of music opens up your perspective and gives you great practice on working together towards a common goal.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

We’re so happy to have released our brand new single, “Now It’s You,” and have loved the feedback we’ve been receiving from it so far. The song just came out and already we have gotten so much positive feedback. We’re going to be releasing more versions of it very soon so please stay tuned, and in the meantime continue to listen and let us know your thoughts on it!

Thank you for taking the time to do this interview.

Thanks for having us again, it was a ton of fun again getting to speak about the music and we really appreciate the time as well!
