Hey Noella! So excited to be chatting with you! Can you tell us a little bit about you?

Hello!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful opportunity! I’d love to share anything you want
to know about myself or music. This is really exciting, I’m very grateful!

Where did your love of music come from?

Well, I’ve grown up in a very musical family. Both of my grandfathers are singer-songwriters. My papa grew up in Queens, NY where he interacted with some well-known singer-songwriters such as Paul Simon and Carole King. My father also plays piano and guitar and my mother has always loved to sing and perform. Growing up, music was always a part of my life, and as I’ve grown, I’ve wanted to create my own music that was more personal and unique to myself and my journey.

What artists do you look up to right now?

I look up to so many artists, for so many different reasons. My number one inspiration as a
singer-songwriter will always be Carole King. I admire her with all my heart and soul and hope to
create music with depth and beauty remotely close to hers one day. I tend to reminisce and draw
the most inspiration from artists before my time in all honesty. I love Amy Whinehouse, Shania Twain,
Nina Simone, and Cher. Artists with powerhouse vocals and dynamic personalities tend to inspire my
artistry the most. As far as right now I love Adele, Alicia Keys, and some smaller artists such as Maisie
Peters, Birdy, and Charlotte Lawrence in the indie-pop genre.

You just released your new single “Black & White” off your upcoming fall album Phoenix! How excited are you that this song is finally out into the world?!?

Oh wow, I’m really excited. This song shows a lot of vulnerability, and I drew a lot of inspiration from
an authentic experience in my life. I’m never usually hesitant to release a song, but with “Black and
White” I was slightly cautious. I recognize that the message of the song won’t resonate with everyone,
but the people that it has at least so far have been really touched by the song. So that means
everything in the world and more to me, and washes away any insecurities or self-doubts personally
or artistically.

Can you tell us about what this song means to you?

This is song means a lot to me, so so much. The song is about being in a relationship where someone
doesn’t accept who you are and is trying to change you. To me, the beauty in a genuine relationship is
that you learn to love and accept each other for who you both are individually. If someone is trying to
change you that usually is an indication of insecurities or issues in themselves. We all have different
“colors” that make up the canvas of ourselves and that is truly beautiful.

You are also gearing up for the release of your upcoming album!! How excited are you to get this project out into the world?

Yes, I am overjoyed, extremely nervous, but also SO grateful. The album is set to release November
2nd, my 17th birthday!!

Any fun moments while creating the album?

I’ve spent most of the time with my music producer and arranger Jeff Gruber who is extraordinary.
We’ve shared a lot of laughs together and have really gotten to know each other over the past year

What song are you most excited to perform from this new album?

Probably “Phoenix”, which is the track the whole album is named after. It’s just so different than any
song I’ve ever written dynamically. It’s full of jazz, rock, and blues vibes which are genres I found so
fun to write and experiment in. The song is very passionate, upbeat, and I think it’s going to be a blast
to perform live.

What does it feel like to perform your own music live in front of your supporters?

I don’t know. It’s crazy to think that I have people who are even actively listening to my music or
engaging with me over social media. I just feel grateful beyond belief for the opportunity to be
performing at all, so truly humbled, and full of joy. When I’m on stage, or performing anywhere live I
feel most myself, and a sense of freedom that I can’t compare to any other experiences in my life.

Are you planning to tour to promote this album?

Currently, I’m not. I would love to go on tour eventually with my music. That is truly one of my biggest
dreams. I am a full-time student in high school though and I want to spend as much time with my
family and friends as I can at the moment.

How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?

I simply want to be genuine and authentic. I don’t want to paint a rosy picture of my life over social
media. I want to express my struggles to an extent openly, and try to get to know as many people and
their lives, stories, and dreams as I possibly can.

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?

I haven’t had any crazy fan encounters I can think of, I’m sorry.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

Definitely Instagram, that is the main social platform I post on and use to engage with my audience.

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

The main focus for me right now is my album but a few music videos may be in the works…

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you from the deepest crevices of my heart and soul for listening to any of my music. I love you
all and I hope with all my heart you chase your dreams, passions, and ambitions fully. Always feel free
to message me too, I’ll try my absolute best to get back to you.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview with us.

Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with me, it means so much.
