Hey Sierraxsongs!! So excited to be chatting with you. You’ve been busy these past few months reinventing your sound. Can you tell us what led to this change?

Hey! Likewise! I’ve been wanting to put out some of my pop music for awhile now, but I was a little afraid of how my fans would take it because they’ve been so loyal to my country stuff for the last few years. I just really loved this song and really wanted people to hear it. So I just took a chance and decided to switch things up!

You just released your debut pop single. Can you tell us what this song means to you?

It’s a very liberating song for me. It was written ironically about a guy who used to tell me that I didn’t actually care about him like I said I did, but that I was only using him to “fill voids” in my life. It wasn’t true, but I flipped the script on him in this song, so it feels pretty badass!

What’s been your reaction to the fans anticipation for your new project?

I’m over the moon about it. I’ve had so many people reach out and tell me that this is the best thing I’ve ever done, and their favorite piece of work of mine. It feels good to know it resonates with them and that they’re still supporting me even through this new season.

How excited were you to get this project out into the world?

So pumped. Also slightly scared!!

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I hope they can hear my truth in it. I think pop music will give me the platform to speak on more serious issues and be more raw with my lyrics. I hope it hits them hard, in a good way.

What type of music are you leaning towards for your music career?

Pop right now. I’ll always be a little pop punk kid, so don’t be surprised if that shows through a little.

What’s up next for you after the release of this project? A tour maybe?

A tour would be sick! After this COVID stuff, I would love to tour. I’ll also be releasing more music this year!

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

Besties. I hate the word “fans.” I don’t have fans. I have friends who believe in me. I want people to know I’m down to earth and that they can talk to me about literally anything.

What do you want your supporters to know that you think is important?

What other people think of you is none of your business.

What’s something your fans don’t know about you?

Oh man. I don’t know. A fun one is that I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies.

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

Don’t be shy. I’m literally a nobody. I love taking pictures with fans. I love talking to them. YOU make MY day more than I make yours, I promise.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

I want to leave a positive impact on the world. I want my fans to be good to eachother. Be kind, support their friends, and try to do something every day that makes them a better person. I want my life and my music to be a testament that you can go through hard things in life, and still come out on top.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

Blessed!

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Julia Michaels.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

It’s really become the biggest way to promote ourselves, make friends with other artists/industry people, and really build those relationships. It’s a double-edged sword. I don’t like how much of my time SM takes up, but I feel like it’s necessary a lot of the time.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

To go on a major US tour as a support act for someone cool.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you. Like with all of the thanks in my body.
