You’ve been on hiatus to reinvent your sound. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to over the past few months?

I have been working on new songs and trying to figure out my sound for the past few months before releasing my newest song that just came out in February. It’s been a lot of experimentation with sounds and genres to find what I truly wanted to do. I think I am finally happy with the direction everything is going.

Where did your love of music come from?

It came from so many different places. My parents would play music in the car and around the house which exposed me to a lot of different types of music from hard rock to indie pop. Then once I got involved into theater I started singing and performing frequently. That’s where I found my passion for performing and figured out I could take the poetry I was writing and turn them into my own songs. I ended up having journals of lyrics and started trying to learn chords on the piano to piece everything together.

What has been your reaction to all the success you have been having?

I am really happy that people are relating to my new music and giving me such good feedback. It was scary going in a different direction because you never know what the reaction will be. But I feel really motivated to continue writing songs and releasing singles over the next few months.

You have worked with some well known producers, song writers and actors. What have you gained from working with them?

I always learn something new from everyone I work with. I love nothing more then collaborating with others and learning to see things from different perspectives as well as becoming a better musician myself from the tricks they teach me.

What do you hope to gain out of your music career?

My goal with my music has always been to help others. Music has always helped me through my hardest moments and lifted me up. I hope that people can feel the same way about my music and know they are not alone. There will always be someone who can relate to what you are going through.

You just released your new single “Back For More” and your supporters are loving it!! What’s been your thought about the success of the new song?

I am relieved that people like it. I spent over a year on the song pulling it apart and putting it back together. When I finished the song it was like finishing a big puzzle. I had so many different versions of the song and it took me along time to finally be happy with it.

Do you have any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

I am planning on releasing a few more singles this year and a music video for one of them. I am also working on putting together shows for later this year or next year which I am really excited about.

What do you think is the benefit of having a following on social media in the music industry?

I think the cool part about having a following on social media is that you have a platform to not only release your music to but also voice topics you care deeply about. It’s also amazing to have people you can connect with that are into the same things as you are. It’s like having a bunch of friends from all over the world.

Does your fanbase have a name?

Not yet! I want to come up with something really awesome though.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

I want it to be really personal. I want them to know they can reach out to me at anytime if they need to talk and I am here for them always.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

I mainly use Instagram as my main platform but I am on everything.

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?

I haven’t had anything too crazy happen yet!

What’s an average day for you look like?

I spend most of my days working on new music for my own project and I also write music for TV/Film. I also have hobbies such as figure skating, dance, and trying to learn the guitar.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you so much for all the support on my new music. I hope that you all will love my next single coming up in May.
