You just released your new single! Can you tell us what this song means to you?

Stand Together Now is a song I wrote about the Coronavirus Pandemic. I wrote the music and lyrics as an expression of the world remaining in harmony during these uncertain times. It is an expression of hope and love on a personal level that spreads throughout the entire world beginning with each person. I want everyone who hears my song to walk away from it with a sense of peace knowing we will all get through this together.

What’s been your reaction to the fan’s anticipation for your new single?

My family and friends who knew I wrote Stand Together Now have really been looking forward to hearing it stream on platforms especially since there are not been many new single releases specifically about the Coronavirus Pandemic.

My fans are so excited about the new Single release Stand Together Now and are asking for me to release more Originals. I have gotten such positive feedback worldwide and several people have already asked permission to Cover it. Stand Together now has been included in two of the Melon DJ Playlists including one playlist by Melon itself in Korea. Melon executives said this is rare for a new artist to have this happen.

How excited were you to get this single out into the world?

I could not wait. It could not come soon enough. I hit so many stumbling blocks during the actual making of Stand Together Now. My first recording of Stand Together Now was accidentally lost from an equipment crash which had never happened to my Music Producer before. During the making of Stand Together Now we always maintained social distancing, and my producer wore a mask the entire time. I wore a mask in between recording and recording again the 2nd time. I am excited to release my music to the world because the music I write is very personally to me and most of it is about my own life. Stand Together Now is different in that everyone globally has been experiencing some of the same things I have. I knew this song would not only relate to the way I am feeling during the pandemic, but also to anyone who hears Stand Together Now.

Where did your love of music come from?

Music has always been an outlet for me. Most of my songs are about a certain times or events in my life that has been a result of my own personal experiences. Other songs are about something that has impacted me so strongly I feel compelled to write about it. It does not matter where I am when an original hits me. Sometimes it hits me in a coffee shop. I hear the whole song playing in my head and I cannot grab a napkin and pen fast enough to write the music and lyrics down and rush home to play it on piano. My music is about love, life, death, surviving cancer, eating disorders, health, happiness, domestic abuse, and relationships. Although I have never experienced having an eating disorder or domestic violence. I do know so many people who have and I feel honored to have the gift of sharing interpretations and perspectives to the world through music. My goal is to make people feel like one event does not define you, and to be empowered to make the most out of life.

Do you have any other release plans for 2020?

Yes, I do! My Original, Gonna Make A Change, will release in other countries this month and Every Step Of The Way will release this summer. I also was honored to record my second Cover song. I love the song Rise Up by Andra Day and I admire her artistic talent so much. Rise Up will be out soon. I am also recording a song for a possible feature film interest. As an actress I have a feature film Bad Impulse that will be released this year. It is a Drama, Thriller starring Sonya Walger, Grant Bowler, and Paul Sorvino with Archstone Entertainment.

What do you hope your supporters will think of the new music?

I want my supporters to relate to my music and feel a sense of enjoyment as they listen to it or dance to it. I hope they like it enough to share with family, friends and play on repeat. I am passionate about the songs I have written, and I hope passion can be felt in my music.

How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?

I want my supporters to feel like friends! I am just an ordinary girl sharing my stories and I want everyone to be along for the ride. Several fans have written and I always enjoy responding to them personally or replying back on platforms.

What is something your fans do not know about you?

My fans do not know that I was extremely sick for a long time. I was bed ridden for several years of my life and in a wheelchair at one point. That is when I discovered a true passion for writing music. It is hard to believe looking at me now, but I was diagnosed with debilitating Lyme Disease. I am happy to say I am completely healthy now. I give God all the glory! Writing Music helped me so much and I want to share it with the world.

I know you are an actress as well as an artist, do you prefer one over the other?

I love both equally as much, but in completely different ways. The thing I love about acting is that I get to portray other people and walk in their shoes. With singing, I can write about my life and express how I am feeling. With both acting and singing I get to story tell. Both are equally as wonderful!

What do you want your fans to know if they ever see you in public?

I never want my fans to be shy and feel like they cannot approach me like a friend. It probably makes my day more than it makes their day for me to see them! It gives me so much joy to know that there are people out there that support my music, and I enjoy listening to their dreams, life stories, and aspirations as well.

What do you want your message to be towards your fans? What do you want your fans to take away from your music and shows?

My message is to always stay true to yourself regardless of your circumstances. There is only one you and there will never be another person like you. I am an optimist and I always want to encourage my supporters to see life as positive as possible because life is truly a gift.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

I do not know how to answer this question by giving a one sentence answer! There are so many people I would love to meet. I would love to meet Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, James Bay, John Mayer, Carrie Underwood, One Republic, Thomas Rhett, Kygo, Lauv, Lewis Capaldi, the list goes on! I like all kinds of music genres especially Pop, R&B, Alternative, and Country. My genre is R&B, Soul, & Pop.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Social media is a great way to stay connected to your supporters and a great way to interact with others online. It makes my day when I get a message from someone saying they love my music. I love talking to others on social media and keeping everyone informed of the music I have available for my fans to listen to and new song releases coming soon.

What would you say is your biggest dream/goal right now?

Being able to sing originals and share them with my fans is a dream come true.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thank you so much for your support. Please feel free to comment or message me.
