Hey Sarah:) You are well known for your role on the popular BRAT series “Boss Cheer”. Can you explain the process of how you got this role?
Being cast on Boss Cheer was different than most roles I audition for. I was actually direct booked for my role. It was really exciting getting the call!
Can you explain the character you portray?
My character on the show is Charlotte. Charlotte is the head cheerleader with a type A personality. She is bossy and has high expectations for herself as well as her teammates. She can be a little mean at times when things don’t go her way.
What do you think makes this show standout from other shows that have been aired on BRAT?
One of my favorite things about Brat is how different each of their shows are. Each show is unique but somehow will tie into one of the other Brat shows. What I think makes Boss Cheer standout is definitely the cast. We have a little older cast then most of the Brat shows so I feel we appeal to different age groups.
What do you like most about being on a show that’s aired on YouTube?
What I like most about being on YouTube is being part of a phenomenal digital platform that allows our fan base to watch our shows whenever they choose and as many times as they want. Also, I love the fact that fans are able to leave questions and comments instantly.
What’s your favorite part about being on “Boss Cheer”?
My favorite part of being on Boss Cheer is playing the uptight mean girl! Playing Charlotte is really fun. Ironically we have some things in common. I am definitely not as mean as Charlotte but we are both very type A and are perfectionist.
What is your favorite part about being on set?
My favorite part of being on set is having fun with the cast. We have all become such good friends and have a blast together. I also love learning from production and all that goes into making a show. I would love to direct my own movie someday!
Since you just wrapped filming for Season two, Can you spill any details on what the supporters can look forward to?
All I can say is you will all love season 2! We have such great story lines this season. One thing I can say is watch for some Brat show crossover! It’s my favorite story line this season!
Are there any other acting projects in the works you can tell us about?
We just wrapped season 2 of Boss Cheer. For the new year, I have some things in the works so stay tuned!
Did you have a favorite role you played? If so what was the role and why was it your favorite?
My favorite role would have to be Charlotte of course. I feel since I have played her for 2 seasons now I am able to really portray her personality to the fans. She is the girl everyone loves to hate. Someday, I would love to play a really dark and sinister character. I think that would be so fun!
You have also created a huge social media presence for yourself. Why do you think social media is so important for teen actors today?
I feel as teen actors social media is the best way to keep connected to our fans. I also believe that we should use our social media outlets as a way to be positive role models. So many young girls and boys look up to us and I feel it’s our responsibility to spread positivity.
How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?
I have such a supportive fan group! I think the most important thing for me is I want to be a role model for them and someone they can look up to for sure.
What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?
I would say my biggest social media platform is Instagram. I use them all but I feel most connected to my fans there.
Does your fan base have a name?
I don’t think I have a fan base name that I know of. However, my fans do tend to ship my name with lots of people though! Lol
What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?
The craziest encounters I have are usually at dance conventions or dance events. Once I had a fan ask me for a picture while I was in the middle of dancing a combination in class. I’ve even had fans follow me into the bathroom! Lol
Any last things you want to tell your supporters?
I really have the best fans ever! I am beyond grateful for all the love and support throughout the years!
