First I’d like to start off by congratulating you on your newest Single release “He’s Country”, we just love the music video! So thank you for taking the time to chat with us Sami, we’re fans already! Can you actually start off by telling us where your love of music came from?
My Dad is a musician and raised me on country music and the classics. I have always loved being on stage and behind a mic.
How did the idea for your new single “He’s Country” come about?
I got the idea after watching a Nicholas Sparks movie: “The Longest Ride” and thought about the cowboy story.
Will there be a music video for your new single?
There may be! We have not gotten to discuss that yet. Maybe if it remains a crowd favorite!
Were there any recording challenges during the making of the song?
Yes! We recorded during the prime of Covid-19 and many of the musicians were difficult to hire because they understandably did not want to risk their health! Also we packed 8 songs into 6 hours with all of them being a complete production.
Name the proudest moment when you released “He’s Country”?
I love the picture that’s on the cover! It makes me smile every time I see it. Also it’s most people’s favorite.
Is there anyone you would just LOVE to collaborate on a single with?
Chris Bandi or Luke Combs. Chris Bandi’s song “You Would Have Loved Her” is so raw and relatable and all of Luke Combs music is as well. I would love to learn from them and the people!
