Hey Samantha, so excited to be chatting with you! You knew you wanted to act since a young age. What would you say brought on your passion for acting?

My brothers had started acting before I did. I guess I would say I followed in their footsteps. In my mom’s words, “I had a knack for it!” I’ve loved it ever since.

What is one movie that has greatly influenced your life?

It’s hard to say. There are so many movies that have affected me, like “Rosemary’s Baby” made me realize how much I love horror films. My dad showed me “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir,” and when he showed me that one, I became obsessed with classics and movie watching with my dad. But don’t get me wrong, I love a good romantic movie, especially one that can make you tear up while stuffing your face with Doritos. Like “Titanic,” who doesn’t love watching a man freeze to death and then sink to the bottom of the Atlantic, right?!

What has been your favorite acting role to date?

My short film “Cello” was great, it was a role that I 100% loved, it was a great experience and it gave me the chance to test my acting abilities.

What would be your dream acting role?

Probably starring in a horror film or just a TV show. Every role I get is always amazing, but one role I’ve always dreamed of is starring in a role like Rory from “Gilmore Girls” or Elena from “The Vampire Diaries.”

Is there anyone you are dying to work/collaborate with in your acting career?

It’s always great to work with someone new, but I’ve always dreamed of working with Leonardo DiCaprio. In around 2012, I had started watching “Hannah Montana.” I  always wanted to be on the show. I would sing along to almost every song! My brothers weren’t too happy about that though, I wasn’t the very best, but, to me, I could’ve won Grammys.

Do you have any projects in the works you can tell us about?

Right now I don’t have anything going on, with the whole situation the world is going through not much has been happening, but I can’t wait to get back out there.

If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions — what would it say and why? (If helpful, it can be someone else’s quote: Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?)

This may be a little corny, but I think I would want it to be a little kid “mid air” with their hand reaching towards the stars above saying: “Just run, jump and grab the stars, trust me, if you run fast enough, you’ll reach.”

What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?

One really weird thing that I love is Ketchup. I put it on almost everything. I don’t think I would be able to live without it.

What is your current go-to song?

I don’t just have one song that I listen to, music that I’ve been listening to a lot lately is songs from the 2000s. Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and some Selena Gomez.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to pursue a career in acting or singing? What advice should they ignore?

If you want to be an actress or singer, do it because you want to, because you love drama or singing. Don’t do it because all your friends are doing it. Sometimes I like to make pro and con lists, and work off of that. For me, pro — acting is something that I enjoy, it makes good money, it can also make for a good future! Con — it can be stressful, timetaking, and if I booked a lead role, and became very well known, would people treat me different, would people want to be my friend or Samantha Desman’s friend? There are always gonna be cons, but don’t let that stop you, if you enjoy it, wanna do it, then try your best, never give up, and take that jump.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?

I take a break, sit down, clear my thoughts, drink some water, maybe listen to some music, and get back to it. When you’re stressed or having trouble, you just need to relax.

What social media platform do you use most? Where can people find out what projects you have going on?

I think I use Instagram the most. If people want to find what projects I’m doing, they can look at my Insta or IMDB.

Any last things you’d like to tell your supporters?

Thank you so much for all of your support, I’m so grateful. You help me build my courage to keep trying everyday. I wouldn’t be able to keep going without you guys.

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions 🙂
