Hey Preston! So excited to be chatting with you! What led you to decide to try out for The Voice?

I have been a big fan of the voice, my whole family would watch it. So when I was old enough to audition we started talking about it in general as a dream.  My mom had registered me months before for the open call since they were coming to Miami, but she only told me about it the day before!  She wasn’t sure I was ready, but when the time came, the night before she said the VOICE is going to be here tomorrow let’s go for the experience and I said SURE!

What was that whole experience like for you?

To be honest it was the best experience everrrr.  As a whole I recommend it so much.  I learned a lot and met a lot of amazing people.  I mean… I got to meet and sing for John Legend, Usher, and Taylor Swift!!! And of course all the other coaches, it was such a dream.

What’s life been like after being on The Voice?

It’s actually been very busy. When I first came home that’s when the show was about to air so that was really fun watching all the episodes and having the watch parties.  My South Florida community was so supportive.  Then I was busy again with Acapop Kids traveling to record music covers and also we got to do a LIVE performance on the Kelly Clarkson show.  Just before COVID hit is when I started working with the Leave on the Light team and recorded Supply and Demand.  It’s always a busy but fun time promoting music, it’s been really exciting to partner with my friend Mckenzi Brooke, tik tok influencer, who is also part of the Leave on the Light campaign.

What do you want your fans to take away from your music and live shows?

I want them to have fun and really leave having enjoyed a great show or song.  I couldn’t do it without the fans so I want to make sure they know I appreciate them soo much!

What are your release plans for 2020? Can you spill any details on what your supporters can look forward to?

Definitely partnering up with some more songwriters.  There are some really amazing songs out there and I love hearing what people think I could sing.  I am slowly working on my own full original. I don’t know how long that’ll take me, but I’m already really excited about it.

What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?

– Confidence – the fans are amazingggg they make me feel so special, really and that makes me feel like I can accomplish anything and they would love it, allows me to just be me and gives me the confidence because I know they love me for me.

Is there anyone in the music business you are dying to meet?

Post Malone, I wouldn’t know what to say but even just being in the same room with him would be so cool.

Why do you think social media is so important for artists like yourself?

Well, it definitely gives us a platform that we would not have so easily without it.  I am able to have fans almost immediately and entertain them regularly, it’s awesome.  When social issues and things I believe in come up, I am able to show my support and use the platform to express.  I hope that this encourages others to do the same.

Any last things you want to tell your supporters?

That I 1million percent appreciate them.  They are truly the best fans everrrrr!

Thanks for taking the time to do this interview 🙂
