Hey Tiffany!! So excited to be chatting with you again!! Can you tell us what you’ve been up to lately?

Hey Ainsley! It’s so good to talk with you! Wow. It’s been busy over here! I have been putting out new music, my songs Get To Lovin’, Pretty Pretty, Break Me, and Physical are all now available! https://instar.lnk.to/j_VBm I’ve also just recently launched my Tiffany Houghton Singing Academy! Every day I get countless messages and DMs from my fans asking for singing tips, tricks, or vocal lessons, and I’ve now created something for my fans who also want to pursue their dreams as a singer as well. Here is the link to it! www.tiffanyhoughton.com/singwithtiffany Third… I’m going on tour! I’ll be opening up for Megan and Liz on their upcoming tour starting in August! I’ll be performing and meeting up with fans in Chicago, New York, and Nashville, and have some other shows that I’ll be announcing soon in Dallas, and San Diego! Additional cities are being added every day 🙂 I’m SO excited to be out on the road again.

You just released your new summer single, Get to Lovin’ featuring viral 11 year old rapper That Girl LayLay and it’s gotten an amazing reaction from your supporters, what has been your thought about the reaction of the new single?

It’s really exciting to work so hard on something and to see people love it! The reaction has been incredible, and so far this song is projected to be my biggest song yet! It’s amazing to see Team Tiff grow all over the world! I feel really lucky.

What was it like working with That Girl LayLay?

She is probably the most adorable and charismatic artist I have ever met! I saw her for the first time on The Ellen Show and knew right away that I wanted her to feature on my song. She brought such a fun newness to the song and freestyled her part! It was amazing to see her artistry come to life on Get To Lovin’.

Can you tell us the meaning behind “Get to Lovin’”? & How did the idea for this song come about?

I wrote Get To Lovin’ about looking MORE through a lens of love, and LESS through a lens of “likes.” I wrote, “I’m scared with you, but I’m there with you,” as I considered the fears that can creep in about love. It can be nerve racking to put love out on the line, to be true to yourself and then be disliked for it. Whether that be in pursuing what you love, being who you love, or falling in love. Get To Lovin’ is my fearless anthem about pushing past the lens of approval, and finding liberation through the lens of love.

The last song you released on Radio Disney landed the #1 spot!! What was your reaction like when you learned about this amazing accomplishment?

I was thrilled! I had been asking them to give my music a chance for years, and finally when they did it was incredible to see the way that Team Tiff came through and caused it to land in the #1 spot. It’s amazing the difference that fans can make for an independent artist.

How do you want your relationship to be with your supporters?

I work every day to build a relationship where they feel supported and uplifted for being a part of the community that we’ve built together. My hope is to continue to facilitate an environment where my supporters are empowered to pursue their dreams and become the best versions of themselves, all while listening to some fun pop music.

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had?

Near the beginning of my career I was performing at a college in Ohio, but only students could come to the show. I had a couple super fans living nearby who wanted to come to the show SOOOO badly but wouldn’t be able to get in. I told them to come and meet me outside at the artist entrance just before my set. I gave them passes and brought them into the green room with me as if they were part of my crew! To this day I don’t think the venue ever found out! We had an unforgettable night of laughs, selfies, and music.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

As an independent artist social media has been huge in the building of my career! I would say right now Instagram (www.instagram.com/tiffanyhoughton) gets a lot of attention, but lately I’ve been back on Twitter (www.twitter.com/tiffnyhoughton), Facebook (www.facebook.com/tiffanyhoughtonmusic), TikTok (@tiffanyhoughton), and have been shooting videos all day today for my YouTube (www.youtube.com/tiffanyhoughtonmusic)!

Are there any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

Yes! I’ve got an exciting feature coming out on my song Pretty Pretty! I can’t wait for everyone to hear it. I’ll also be putting out music all throughout the fall, and many more tour dates to come!!

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I can’t wait to meet them!! Head over to www.tiffanyhoughton.com and Join Team Tiff so that I can share unreleased music, share more stories about my music and career, and get to know you better!! Xo!
