What inspired you to pursue music?

It’s always been my dream, and after I graduated from school, I knew that I had to follow my dream in order to truly be happy.

How would you describe your musical style?

I’d say I’m definitely in the Pop realm, but I like to get down with some Jazz and R & B every now and then.

What artists do you look up to right now?

There are so many great artists that I look up to and so many that have such incredible strength, but Lady Gaga really pulls through when it comes to expressing herself, through her music, and that to me deserves the ultimate respect.

What is your favorite thing to do in your career? And why? – recording, music video shoots, performing, etc.

Every part is so much fun, but I’d say being in the studio is my favorite. It’s a space where I can be alone, or with very few people, and have fun, without judgment, and really write down the lyrics to perfectly tell the story of the song. The studio, to me, is like my safe space.

Your newest single, “Hit and Run” was just released. What was your first thought of your new song?

My first thought was, ‘I wanna dance!’

What was the process like creating your new single?

I wrote the song in the shower, actually, because that’s where I do a lot of my deep thinking. I’m so sick of one night stands being the only thing that seems acceptable in our culture, and I demand something more. I wrote the lyrics and then worked on the melody with my writing partner, in the studio, and eventually laid the track down.

How do you want your relationship to be with your fans?

I want them to be like my friends. I want to be able to connect with them on a deeper level.

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your fans?

I’d say I’m most active on Instagram. A picture is worth more than a 1000 words in my mind.

What’s an average day for you look like?

I usually get up, go for a run, and drink some tea to get my day started. Sometimes I go to the beach for some light meditation, and others I head to the studio to work on future material. I mostly work late into the night on new music because that is when I think I’m most creative.

What goals have you set out for yourself in your career and in your personal life?

I want to be able to do something amazing and to create a legacy beyond just myself. I want to be able to help change the world through music and for my music to inspire people to better their lives.

How has this whole music career experience been so far?

It’s been amazing. This is only the beginning, but it’s been a wild ride so far.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

I want to thank each and every one of them for believing in me, and following me on this journey… their support means the absolute world to me!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to do this interview with us.
