It’s exciting! And it’s truly an honor to be a part of these amazing worship leaders. It’s a dream and I’m extremely thankful.
What is it like being a part of Bright Ones?
Being a part of Bright Ones has been one of the funnest things I’ve worked on. We are always having fun wherever we are, it’s a blast.
What’s your favorite part about being a part of this amazing group?
I love how much of a family we’ve become. Every event we do and every project we make, it always feels like home and I love everyone on the team.
How excited are you for the release of the Bright Ones’ Movie?!?
I’M SO STOKED GUYS!! We’ve been working hard on this for almost two years and it’s finally coming out! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Always Inspired, Always Havin Fun
What artists do you look up to right now?
Oh man I could go on… but for sure The 1975, Radiohead, Tame Impala, Smashing Pumpkins, John Mayer, and Twenty One Pilots just to name a few. Don’t get me started about this, I’ll literally talk forever haha.
You write a lot of your own music, what’s the process of writing one of your songs?
You know it can be different for every song, but usually I have a topic or feeling in mind and I try my best to play what that feeling would sound like. I’m all about the aesthetic so I take a lot of time choosing the perfect wording and chords and what timbre I want the sound to be. I like to pack as much punch in little amount of space as possible.
What’s been your favorite song to write?
There’s one I’m really excited about, it’s sort of a “coming of age” type of song and I’m hoping to put it out soon. Y’all will have to stay tuned…
You also post covers on your Instagram, what’s the process of choosing which song you are going to cover?
Making those Insta covers are the best because it’s honestly just me listening to music I love and thinking, “hm.. let make a cover of that.” It’s just me jamming to songs I would normally listenn to anyways.
What was your favorite cover song to record?
Definitely “Neon” by John Mayer. That guitar part took me a hot minute to learn but it’s such a fun and well written song.
Why do you think social media is so important for teen artists today?
Well I think it’s probably the best place to make a name for yourself and to build a platform. I mean it used to be that you play gigs any place they’ll let you play and if you’re lucky, a music label will sign you and you can make a record. Nowadays the game has changed; you don’t have to play by anyone’s rules, you make the rules. Social media is so powerful and it’s a place you can grow a following and still be able to be yourself and express yourself fully.
With a massive following already your supporters must have a name for themselves. Does your fan base have a name?
You know as far as I know we don’t have a name, I’ll leave that for them to decide as long as its cool haha.
How do you want your relationship to be like with your supporters?
To be honest I just don’t want there to be this like weird distance between me and my fans, like I’m up on a pedestal. I want it to feel like a friendship, because I’ve had the privilege to meet and talk to a lot of fans and a lot of the time they are amazing and really cool people.
What’s the feeling you get when meeting your supporters?
At first it was really weird that people knew who I was, but it just always reminds me of how far I’ve come and it’s definitely a cool feeling.
What’s the feeling you get when you’re on stage and your fans are singing your songs back to you?
Yeah, that’s just wild. Hearing them singing those songs back just makes me feel so thankful and again it just blows my mind to be where I am today.
Are there any projects in the works you can tell us about?
I’m working on my own solo music as well as Josie Buchanan and I have been working and writing some music as well. Hoping to finish and put that out soon 🙂
