Country newcomer Macy Martin revealed the official video for her new single “I Miss You” exclusively with Radio Disney Country over the weekend. The track, which is currently in rotation on the popular Radio Disney platform, was recorded and released as two versions— first as a heartfelt country-pop song in April, before following it up with a stripped-back piano ballad in May.
The video, which is set to the intimate piano backdrop, depicts the immediate vulnerability and honesty behind the lyrics, which drew Macy to record the track and select this version for the song’s official video.
Martin explains, “I decided to release a second version of “I Miss You” because I’ve always loved piano and I knew it would fit this song beautifully! It heightens the emotions the song walks you through while putting the focus on the lyrics.” Adding, “The official video features this version because it feels more vulnerable to me. I can visualize myself sitting in my room after a breakup and working through it all in my own head; just me, my thoughts and memories.”
Upon hearing the song, she knew others would relate to the emotions expressed in the lyrics. Co-written by Carly Pearce, Nathan Spicer and April Geesbright, Martin described, “the incredible songwriters captured the perfect combination of beauty, pain, and growth in this lyric and melody.”

Originally from Texas, Macy Martin has resided in Nashville the past four years while earning her music business degree from Belmont University. A recent quarantine graduate, she has built her music career at the same time, honing-in on her songwriting craft. A big contributor to her upcoming project is accomplished songwriter and producer Dave Pittenger (Jessie James Decker, Tyler Farr), who Macy considers a mentor. Her latest music is composed of stories of young love and self-discovery, following themes of growing confidence.
