Hey LYRX! You just released your debut single “Take the Money,” what has been your thought on the reaction of the song?

It’s been crazy to see the support for the single! Everyone has been so sweet and encouraging. I’ve been overwhelmed and so grateful.

How was “Take the Money’ created?

I walked into the room just kind of discouraged about everyone telling me I was too different to “make it” in this town. So I just said…you know what, I’m not changing! They can take the money, I’m gonna take the country in the way that I know how to do it!

Did you ever think your debut single would get this amazing of a reaction from your supporters?

I truly had no idea people would be so amazingly supportive! It feels good!

When did you realize that music would be the career for you?

Oh goodness. I’ve done music my entire life! I don’t have a backup plan. Never have. So I’ve always known music was my life.

What’s it like already having family in the music industry?

It’s pretty amazing! I’m so incredibly proud of my brother. His success is so encouraging and also a major proud sister moment. Our sister Erica is also a huge encouragement for both of us. So it’s great having someone that’s not in the industry for both of us.

How would you describe your musical style?

I’d describe it as a mix of Gwen Stefani and Shania Twain.

Are there any artists that have influenced you?

Shania Twain for sure, but you know I’m gonna say Dan + Shay – ha!

Can we expect any new music soon? If so can you spill some details about them?

Yes! Well without giving too much away, I may or may not be putting out a song based on my family.

Are their any other projects in the works you can tell us about?

Yes! We have some cool stuff on YouTube we are releasing, so y’all go subscribe!

What social media platform do you use most to stay connected to your supporters?

YouTube and Instagram for sure! I try to always answer messages.

What was the craziest fan encounter you have had so far?

Well, probably the best encounter I’ve had was an amazing 8 year old fan that tore down all her old music posters to put mine up. She recently lost her mom and I got to call and talk to her about how her mom had set it up for me to go to lunch with her. I’m still having that lunch! She’s really been an inspiration to me, and reminds me why I do this.

Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?

Thanks for supporting! I hope to see y’all at a show!

Thanks for doing this interview with us!
