Hey Kylie!! So excited to be talking with you. Can you tell us what you’ve been up to recently?
Thanks for having me! I have a few projects I’ve been working really hard on lately that I’m super excited about. Expect some new music and music videos coming out this year!
That’s so cool!! You have definitely started making a name for yourself in the music industry and I can’t wait to see all that you have in store. Like your new single “You & I” was just released and it’s already gained a lot of attention from your supporters what’s been your reaction to all the success the song has been having?
The success “You & I” has had so far makes me extremely thankful! I appreciate all of my supporters and all of the people who helped me create this song and get it out there more than I can describe. I’m just so glad people enjoy it!
Can you tell us how “You & I” came about? Any fun moments while creating the song?
Coming up with “You & I” was such a creative process. During that time in my life I was in a really great spot mentally and wanted to write a feel good upbeat song that explained something I’d personally want to do. So, I co-wrote “You & I” with my good friend Jason Hamor and during the writing process we both just kinda knew this song held something special, but in the back of our minds we felt like there was still something missing. Then I took it into the studio with Bill McDermott in Nashville, and we were playing around with it singing it different ways. We ended up cutting the verses in half and made it almost a completely different song, then we all looked at each other and it just clicked! So we recorded it and the rest is history!
A few weeks after recording, I was actually on my way to a show just sitting in the parking lot and we got a call from Bill McDermott. He was just completely ecstatic over the song saying that he had it on repeat all day. So yeah that was a really cool moment!
What has it been like having your new single on Radio Disney?
Having my new single on Radio Disney came as such a shock for me! My manager texted me so excited that she had some big news, and I had known that it was a possibility for a couple weeks prior, but then she told me it was confirmed and I couldn’t believe it! Then I finally got to announce it the day after my birthday while I was at CRS in Nashville, so that was crazy, the timing was so perfect! I’m just so grateful to have an amazing team backing me up and that Radio Disney also hopped on board with me!
Are you making a music video for “You & I”?
Yes the music video for “You & I” will be out soon!!
Will there be an EP/Album out soon?
As of right now I’m going to continue releasing singles so that every song has its time to shine. But there will definitely be an album down the road!
Is there anyone you want to thank that’s helped you get to where you are today?
There are so many people I want to thank!! First off, my amazing manager Kimberley Patterson for being more than just a manager and taking me under her wing and going out of her way to get me where I am today. Thank you to my family for the endless support, especially my dad for being my day one, my role model, my body guard, my uber driver, and so much more. He does it all. Thank you to Jason Hamor for being such a huge supporter and for writing hits with me!! Thank you to the man, Bill McDermott, for producing all of my songs and being so great! Thank you to my voice coach, Rhonda Parish, for teaching me everything I know! Thank you to Dalton Baird who went through the very first shows with me. We learned the ropes together, couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to the band I play with, The Wild Reckoning, y’all are insane! Thank you to Anna, Dawn, and Kerrigan from Kore PR for also taking me under their wing and showing me tremendous support! Thank you to country radio for believing in my music! Last but not least, thank you to every single supporter, you guys are so special to me! I probably missed so many people but I’m so blessed to have everyone in my life. I seriously would not be where I am without any of them.
What’s one word you would use to describe what your fans have allowed you to accomplish?
One word to describe what the fans have allowed me to accomplish is “everything”. Without the support system they provide, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do.
Are there any other fun projects in the works you can tell us about?
There will hopefully be some fun projects coming up soon that I will definitely keep everyone updated on through social media!
Do you have any last things you want to tell your supporters?
Again, I just want to thank all of my supporters for the love. Love love love y’all!
